Oh hey! Thank you for being here. Let me introduce myself. My name is Jen Foster and I am an educator.

A few years ago, I started an Instagram account dedicated to teaching. I started by just sharing everything and anything and loving having a community of keen beans like me. But it didn′t take me long to spot something quite odd. Scrolling through thousands of teachers′ experiences around the world there were two things that stood out like a sore thumb: Behaviour was this huge obstacle in teaching; The guidance around behaviour was either inconsistent, vague or unhelpful.

So, I decided to learn everything I could about behaviour. I explored outside the education shelves and bought way too many books about neuroscience, positive psychology, business, and parenting. The more I learnt, the more I reflected on my own practice and my own experiences in schools. I asked educators in my community their opinions on behaviour, and this is what I found out:
93% felt that they had inadequate behaviour training as a trainee teacher
88% feel they have inadequate behaviour training as a qualified teacher

So, isn′t it about time we shined a spotlight on behaviour?

Behaviour: The lost Modules is the book you wish you had read before stepping into a classroom. The book you wish had been required reading on your university reading list. A book that is practical, easy to read and tells you what you need to know about behaviour in primary schools. A book by a teacher for teachers, drawing on common sense, personal experiences and current research.

Can’t get over how this book is just an extension of how I feel behaviour management should be. It’s like you have looked in my head and taken the ideas to the best point they can be and created a book out of it.
The step by step process of ideas but also ways of making me critically think about my own practise is brilliant. For me, Jen Foster has written a book that will be used at universities, taught to new teachers and used to help teach the right way of how to do behaviour management in schools for years to come.

This has become my go to book for behaviour management. If the Bible is the Holy Book for Christianity, Jen Foster has written the equivalent for behaviour management in Behaviour: The Lost Modules.

Thank you so much for writing this book Jen. It has given me the tools to change how I teach and support children even more!

Jen is exactly right in the book she says that teachers often don’t get taught about behaviour and how to best support pupils in the classroom. This book gives amazing ideas on how to best support children in the classroom to enable adults to best support children to regulate their emotions. I read this book in one day and come away with so many take aways that I want to remember and to use in the classroom

This book was like having a professional conversation due to its brilliant relatable content. I loved how the book was organised into relevant sections which act as reference points for when I need to dip into various sections. I also liked the visual aspects that illustrated the main points brilliantly. An absolute must read for anyone that works with children or is training to work in schools! Highly recommended!

This book puts the incredible Instagram account and amazing resources such as The Good Morning Club by Jen Foster into one accessible, informative and absolutely necessary book!

Read the book, do the exercises, dip in and out as you need and transform the education system as you go.

Children need teachers to read this book. Children deserve all teachers to read this book.

Jen makes sense. She draws on personal and professional experiences. She supportively shines a light on practise and pushes you to think about your mindset. Her non judgemental approach means you can examine your teaching style and not only ask why but she plants the seeds for alternatives. Thanks Jen ????

    To put it simply…. AMAZING!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

So I’m not a massive reader (shocking I know) but this book is made for anyone to pick up and breeze through – promise! It’s written on such a personal chatty level and it’s so interactive!

I LOVE how it’s so engaging with activities and diagrams. You are given opportunities to relate all the knowledge and research to real life experiences! I just keep imagining ‘What if my teachers had known this!?’ Things would’ve been so different for me!

I’ve learnt so much already and I’ve not even finished. I’ve been reflecting on EVERYTHING but it all comes so easy because of the way Jen explains it!

I really struggle to put it down and KNOW I’ll be referring back to certain chapters in the classroom.

Definitely not just for teachers it’s for anyone interested in learning and understanding our minds!

    10/10 Amazingly well written!????

Thoroughly enjoying my journey through this book. I’ve read so many books and articles on education recently, as I’m studying for my Masters, and my head has been tired. This has energised me so far and taken me on a reflective journey of not just my teaching career but my life in general. It’s been the best therapy! ???? Thank you for writing a book that is not only going to help me manage behaviour in my classroom but has helped me look at who I was as a child, the adult I was, and the person I am becoming.
