As a teacher, I was disappointed with this workbook. The flow of the book is awkward and not realistic to actual lessons in a preschool class (i.e. there should be more variety and not just large sections of the same thing). There are also several pages of “fluff” from the author explaining how to use the book. While I understand the reasoning behind the instructions, they’re poorly written and not realistic. Statements such as “set deadlines that you will keep” makes me feel like the author has never met a 3 to 5 year old. Sure, there are plenty of pages in the book, but it’s mostly ‘busy work’ for a child to do more or less independently once they know what to do. If you want to actually work with your child and guide them through learning, I’d suggest finding another workbook such as Collins or CGP.

The book has lots of activities, but the letter tracing ones could do with having thinner or grey guidelines rather than black. It’s quite tricky for a 3 year old to define between the dotted tracing lines and the thick black guidelines. Also there’s a typo on one of the titles, could do with better proofreading! Spellings are American, to warn those it would affect.
