Blender Babies

£2.99

They called it: ‘The Craze.’

No one saw it coming. It started with isolated reports of people kidnapping babies and blending them to drink their ‘essence’—a highly potent and highly addictive chemical compound found in infants. The phenomenon spread through social media, infecting other addicts. Cases of kidnapping and murder—femicide and infanticide—skyrocketed, leading to governments around the world to issue state of emergencies and strict shelter-at-home orders.

But it was too late.

Society had collapsed into itself.

Now, Brian Turner finds himself trapped in a police station with his family—his wife Leslie, his five-year-old son Cameron, and his newborn daughter Harper—and a group of shellshocked survivors. With their supplies running low and a horde of baby-fiends waiting to strike outside, he must find a way to protect his family and search for a new home away from the carnage and madness.

Jon Athan, the author of The Groomer and Lovesick, presents a disturbing post-apocalyptic vision unlike anything he’s written before. Can you survive the Craze?

Jon Athan can do no wrong in my eyes, and I love everything he writes…and this was another banger!!

Brian Turner and his pregnant wife Leslie, and son Cameron are in the car driving to restaurant, when “The Craze” hits. Six months later, they are taking refuge in a police station with some other survivors, and now have a baby daughter called Harper. Crazies are running riot, stealing babies to blend for a drug called Adreno, which is more powerful and addictive than any other drug out there. These “Baby Fiends” either kill the parents or take the mothers away to a “baby farm” to become pregnant to keep up the supply of babies.

This is a solid dystopian story, with enough gore, severed body parts, violence and torture, etc to satisfy the Splatterpunk fans. I absolutely loved it and highly recommend to anyone who likes this extreme horror genre.

I went into this dreading the visions that were going to plague my mind , yes the images of babies in blenders is horrific but the story and the characters are so good that it tends to put the whole baby blending business into the back of your mind .
What a book , absolutely fantastic and I’m really hoping for a part two .

This was spectacular! It was non stop action the entire way through. I have never known an author come up with so many different and specific ways of describing horrible things done to the human body. I will never look at nail clippers the same again.
I very rarely have nightmares but had quite a few about the “baby fiends” chasing me.
There were so many parts that I can never wipe from my brain but of course for censorship reasons cannot mention here.
I have never read a book through one eye whilst cowering behind my couch with a crucifix until now. I enjoyed every second.
And yes Jon Athan I would love a sequel or another story from the craze. Anything more I can get from this universe.

This gripping and stomach churning tale was skillfully paced, brimming with relentless, blood-soaked action from start to finish.
I devoured the book in two nights, finding it nearly impossible to put the ghastly story down.

The author has again exhibited an unparalleled talent for portraying a range of gruesome scenarios inflicted upon the human body, permanently altering my perception of everyday objects like nail clippers.
Countless moments from this book will linger in my thoughts.

I earnestly look forward to a sequel or another tale from this dystopian and horrifying world crafted by the author.

Highly recommended for fans of extreme horror and splatterpunk.

Wow Jon Athan does not shy away from delicate subject matter and he does it so well. His original stories cannot be beat but not fod everyone major trigger warning with this but so worth it!

I went into this one with mixed thoughts with it being post apocalyptic I feared I may not like it as much as Jon’s true to life human horrors. But in true Jon style it’s written in a way where you think this isn’t all that too far fetched with all the silly social media craze’s as Jon mentioned in his author notes it’s a strange world we live in and people do get carried away with creating and carrying out craze’s to gain a social media following. A post apocalyptic, dystopian style story, this is a tense, edge of your seat read following Brian Turner and his family trying desperately to escape the hives of baby fiends searching for their next hit of adreno.
