Bluebell Wood: A chilling Norfolk Broads crime thriller (DI Tanner Norfolk Broads Murder Mystery Series Book 10)
£3.80
A hanging body found by an uncontrollable dog, a murdered historian with an unpublished book, and a mysterious cottage, hiding in the shadows of Bluebell Wood.
With DCI Tanner’s wedding just days away, a man is found hanging in a local wood. Meanwhile, a retired university professor is discovered with his throat cut. At first, one seems unrelated to the other, but when Tanner learns of the professor’s unpublished book, the two investigations begin to merge, until all lines of enquiry meet, deep in the heart of Bluebell Wood.
Set within the mysterious beauty of the Norfolk Broads, this fast-paced British detective series is a dark cozy Norfolk murder mystery with a slice of humour and a touch of romance, one that will have you guessing until the very end, when the last shocking twist is finally revealed.
Bluebell Wood is a totally addictive gripping crime thriller, the tenth in a chilling series of serial killer books, ones which will rapidly convert followers of L J Ross, Faith Martin, Joy Ellis, Damien Boyd, J M Dalgliesh, and Elly Griffiths into David Blake devotees.

I’ve been waiting eagerly for this book and it didn’t disappoint. I love DCI Tanner’s character, even though he’d probably drive me nuts if I lived with him. David Blake conjures up both the atmosphere and pace to keep you turning pages ( even at 1am…which it is now). I can’t wait for the next instalment. In fact, that’s really my only criticism – can you please write faster Mr Blake?

Good story but got a bit bogged down at some points. Good twist at the end though! Quite enjoyed it!!£

This book was okay but enjoyed most of the others more. Will try the next one as like the personal story running along side the murders. Thankyou

I liked the story line but felt it dragged a little. However I did not put the book down until I had finished which means I really enjoyed it. ( I think dci Tanners fiancé has a lot of patience regarding his job. I can’t see many putting up with his work on her wedding day. ). I am looking forward to the next book in this series.

Love David Blake books sometimes a bit complicated in the start but once into a gripping read and as I am norfolk born and bred I find I can visualise the settings

I struggled with this book in the middle, I just lost interest, but kept going as I really like the characters.

Too repetitive at times, Tanner rather annoying and childish, nearly gave up reading this book but having read all the others persevered. The ending was more of an enjoyable read.

This was a great book to release at Halloween. Tongue in cheek but humorous. Tanner solves his problems with help, but I do think his team could do more. The newly promoted Tanner will build his team given time – they are rather cheeky but do get the work done. I hope something will be done with DI Cooper soon. He deserves a severe reprimand. Have preordered the next book already. Keep writing David.
