£5.20
When a chance at being a bridesmaid turns into a chance at being the bride . . . how could she possibly refuse?
Hudson Hopper is in some trouble. After doing his business partner a favour by hiring his younger sister, Sloane, as his assistant, Hudson very quickly finds out that she is a massive distraction.
But when Sloane is asked to fill in as a bridesmaid for another of Hudson’s business partners, she comes up with an equal trade. She’ll be a part of the regency-themed wedding – corset and all – if Hudson marries her. Sloane knows the value of the trade: he needs her, and she needs his wedding ring to get her into a high-society club and further her career.
It’s an instant no from Hudson at first, but when she convinces him that no one will find out – including her brother – and that he will certainly benefit from the marriage too . . . well, Hudson suddenly finds himself saying ‘I do.’
Also a standalone, this is the third book in Meghan Quinn’s steamy and hilarious Bridesmaid for Hire series: all the comical chaos of Bridget Jones, the romcom tension of Anyone But You, and the irresistibly spicy flirtations of The Idea of You . . .

I have never laughed so much reading a book ever. Meghan Quinn writes some banter in her books but this is by far the best character she’s ever written. Sloane is absolutely hilarious and I laughed so much reading her one liners and rants I had stomach ache. Bloody brilliant storyline and the etiquette class will forever be ingrained in my head I honestly couldn’t breathe from laughing . One of the best books Meghan has written so far

Bridesmaid By Chance is my fourth Meghan Quinn book this year and my third in the month of April… and it gets five shiny stars!
Okay, yes, this book is hilarious, sexy as hell, and fun… but it also truly shocked me with its emotional depth!
Hudson is strong, takes charge, and is business first… but his type A personality is really his downfall! Watching his growth after Sloane comes into his life was so delightful to watch! I loved the back and forth of their relationship and that fine line between love and hate!
I haven’t read too many marriage of convenience troped romances, but this one worked really well for these modern times, with a little play on the regency era!
And speaking of play – that subtle nod to Vivian’s brown and polka dot dress was so well done because that moment truly had all the Pretty Womam vibes!
Jason Clarke and Vanessa Edwin did a phenomenal job with their audiobook narration! Just turn to chapter seven to experience how amazing Clarke is as he perfectly switched his voice between two male characters! Edwin sounded young and fun, fitting Sloane’s personality perfectly!
Okay, so you see what I mean, right? This one was all the things I’ve come to love and expect from Quinn, yet seemed to have even more emotional depth than her other books!

Sweet, spicy rate is about 2/3 just because they held too long to act on it. Nice story. Made me laugh and couldn’t put the story down.

A fun, rom-com to binge read. This is the third book in this and while it wasn’t my fave it had some great scenes and a fantastic couple. There were some really funny scenes. This one was by far the spiciest. Tropes include: marriage of convenience, age gap, best friends little sister, billionaire romance.

Sloane is a flirt and has been trying, unsuccessfully she thinks, to tempt her boss Hudson. During a meeting Hudson offers Sloane to be a Recency bridesmaid in London for Archie and his fiancee without recourse. Sloane and her sister discover that their rented house is up for sale, but as neither of them have any funds, Sloane comes up with the idea of providing to Hudson – then the games begin!

The final book in the series and the final Hopper sibling has met his match. This is a marriage of convenience paired with some enemies to lovers workplace deliciousness. I found the book a little slow to start, however once the pair agreed to go to London, as a bridesmaid for hire; that’s when things got interesting.
I listened to this via audio with Jason Clark & Vanessa Edwin and they did an outstanding job, Jason especially conveying a wide range of emotions whilst portraying Hudson that made me love his character more. Vanessa brought Sloane to life and had the perfect amount of sass. I also loved that she made Sloane sound exactly as I imagined, a strong, independent woman who for the most past totally forgets her brain to mouth filter ha ha!
The witty banter from Sloane and her no holds barred attitude towards Hudson despite his stuffy exterior and business mentality, was refreshing and kept the pacing up throughout. It was also nice to see it softening Hudson’s edges.
There are several moments in this book that had me blushing and moments that had me laughing out loud walking down the street as I listened, and I cannot wait for other readers/listeners to experience that too. Bridesmaid for hire was a really enjoyable listen once it got going, and an audio book I will enjoy listening to again .

What a journey Hudson and Sloane had!!!! Funny to start with but became very emotional later in the book. Tissues needed at times. Felt so much for poor Hudson and that Sloane was able to be so strong for him. Loved it

This is such a fabulous read. Funny to the point of tears rolling down your face, hotter than hades steamy scenes, a lot of angst, mostly set in London which i love as a Brit!
This is one to read again and again

Bridesmaid by Chance by Meghan Quinn was a hilarious, heart-fluttering best-friend’s-sister rom-com that delivered all of the grumpy/sunshine, age-gap, forbidden tension and swoon-worthy moments! This marriage-of-convenience romance paired Hudson, the irresistibly brooding billionaire, with Sloane, his whip-smart assistant—who’s had a long-time secret crush on him and also happens to be his best friend’s little sister. Their chemistry was pure fire, sparking with every sharp-witted exchange and loaded glance, while the forced proximity of their fake marriage dialed the steam to unforgettable levels.
Quinn’s signature humor shines as Hudson and Sloane navigate their tangled web of growing feelings, loyalty, and the hilarious chaos of keeping up appearances. The banter was razor-sharp, the sexual tension is palpable, and the emotional vulnerability beneath their antics added an emotional punch. With her perfect blend of laugh-out-loud moments and heartfelt depth, Quinn crafted a story that was playful, passionate and packed with the kind of love that sneaks up when you least expect it.
I listened to the audiobook, narrated in duet by Jason Clarke and Vanessa Edwin, a naturally charismatic pairing who both delivered authentic performances that brought these fictional characters to life in my ears. As addictive as it was uplifting, I burned through two sets of Air Pods as I devoured this amusing and entertaining romantic comedy. Bridesmaid by Chance by Meghan Quinn gets 5 smooches from me!

Bridesmaid By Chance is a fake relationship rrom-com and the 3rd book in the Bridesmaid series. This is Hudson and Sloane’s story and I enjoyed it.
Sloane was a fun, energetic and at times quirky and was exactly what Hudson needed in his workaholic life.
We got humor, embarrassing moments, insane chemistry and tension, scorching hot scenes, banter, family dynamics and so much more.
This fun flirty tale held my attention from start to finish and had all my favorite tropes included. It was a wonderful addition to the series and I would recommend it to romance lovers.

They brought out the vulnerabilities and insecurities and you could feel every ounce of emotion they went through.
They made the light hearted moments leap off the page and really made the listening experience an enjoyable one.
