Bought for my son who said it was perfect. He was looking forward to visiting all the sites mentioned. Bit pricy though.

This IS a very informative, well written book. There a plenty of black and white photographs within depicting the locations.
However, this does NOT justify its ridiculous price. I was expecting more to be honest. No colour photographs and it is not a heavyweight read.
I understand it took 5 years to research and write and the price is the publishers choice . I also understand that it is a somewhat specialist area. Regardless, I can’t help feeling shortchanged.
FAR TOO EXPENSIVE but a good book nonetheless.

How many times have you sat and enjoyed a film, only to wonder at the closing credits just where it was filmed? Trying to locate such information has been well nigh impossible – and all the usual likely archives just result in nothing. For example – where is Peter Cushing’s house in Tales From the Crypt? What was the film location of Hell House … and so it goes on!
But we need worry no longer for this tremendous book reveals the shooting locations of more than 100 films released between 1932 to 2006, along with cast and crew credits, plot synopsis and countless photographs of the present-day locations.
The result of more than 5 years painstaking research by Derek Pykett this book is an invaluable reference guide and without it, such details would have been lost for ever. A fascinating read, entertaining and informative, along with some stunning photographs and a treasure-trove of facts and little-known details, I can’t praise this work highly enough and it is a book you can go back to time and again.
In a word just essential to any fan or film enthusiast with any kind of curiosity at all – I hope that the author sends a copy to the BFI so that they can update their non-existant records!
A great read and I can highly recommend to all film fans both within the UK and abroad.
