Broken Boy: An Enemies to lovers, Second Chance Romance (The Puck Boys of Brooks University Book 2)

£3.70

They say the line that separates love from hate is thin. So thin in fact that the two almost coexist. Almost.

It’s also been said that when a dude is a jerk to a girl, it’s because, deep down, he wants her. I’m calling bullshit on all of it.

Tate Tracy is about to find out that I’m not the nice boy anymore. Nor am I a forgiving person. She might have been my best friend for eighteen years, but now, she’s no one. And if I have to remind her of that, I will. Even if we’re going to be stuck living in an apartment … together.

The trouble is, I’ve only ever had one weakness in life.

And it’s Tate Tracy.

    ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

    This is the second book in the brooks university series and it did not disappoint!

    This followed the story of Link and Tate, who were best friends from the start but after one night of not being able to just be friends anymore Tate runs away.

    Link is left heart broken until one day Tate shows back up and is forced to share an apartment with Link.

    I highly recommend if you enjoy:
    * sports romance
    * Forced proximity
    * best friends to enemies to lovers
    * Angst/Sexual tension

    What can I say, hannah gray knows how to write a good book ???????? This book does delve into many different issues including grief, illness, and how family dynamics can differ from one person to the next but it also looks at how Love can overcome many of these issues and I can honestly say I felt so many emotions reading this book and that’s something only a handful of other books have done for me, so go read it! Laugh and cry it will be worth it ????????????????????????????????????

    All the stars for another amazing hockey romance by Hannah Gray.

    This story was so good. Link and Tate have been best friends since they were 12 years old, both developing deeper and deeper feeling as tome went on. But it all came tumbling down when Tate suddenly moved to Boston for college earlier than she was supposed to and without telling Link. 2 years later, she transfers to Brooks University, where Link is already a student!

    The chemistry between Link and Tate is fire ???? i loved all of Links dirty talk!!
    The side characters were amazing, and i need me a friend like Brody he is my favourite!!

    This book is fast-paced with lots of action and drama. I was hooked from the first page and read it in one sitting

    Hannah Gray is a new to me author, but after Broken Boy I will def be reading more from her. This was full of witty banter, angst, swoon worthy moments, and some damn good spice!

    Tate and Link are best friends and inseparable. Graduation night changes everything though, after finally voicing his feelings for her, she leaves without a goodbye. Leaving him angry and heartbroken. He loses his mom & his best friend at almost the same time. When he really needed them the most.
    Tate has sworn off of hockey players, being the daughter of one that chose the fame and temptations over his family, she doesnt want that for herself & is happy to live life blending in.

    2years later, Tate finds herself in a situation where she needs a room after transferring schools, the only option shes given ends up being in a house of Hockey Players. Link being one of them. He refuses to forgive Tate for leaving so tries to make life hard for her. Even with all the hatred he has though, his love for Tate was obvious. The little things he did ‘secretly’, I swooned hard. As angry as he was, he still cared deeply for Tate.

    I loved that although this is a love story of them reconnecting, it also covered healing, finding themselves and their strengths. As well as other things but – no spoilers. This kept me reading ‘one more chapter’, I couldnt put it down. The side characters were fantastic, if Brodys book is next then I will be first in line for it. He was something else! And the snippets of Cam (book 1s MMC) makes me want to read his book.

    If you like hockey romance, friends-enemies-lovers, second chance, or forced proximity then I highly recommend picking this up!

    “I wasn’t made to play hockey, Tate. I was made to love you. And I’m going to do that from here on out. Above everything else. Even hockey.”

    ‘Link Sterns and Tate Tracy have been best friends since they were young. Tate ups and leaves one day, leaving Link behind. Three years later, Tate ends up at Brooks University, where Link just so happens to be hockey royalty. Suddenly finding herself without anywhere to live, Tate knocks on the one door that will bring her face-to-face with her past…’

    4.5/5⭐️

    I absolutely ate this book up, I literally sat there and read it in one sitting without moving. Childhood friends – enemies – lovers. It doesn’t get much better than that!

    The chemistry and connection between Link & Tate is unmatched. Hannah does a great job of making us understand both of their POV’s and how they are feeling.

    At the start, Link’s attitude towards Tate is questionable, but as a reader I can understand that he is only doing it to get back at her for the way she hurt him. The backwards and forwards between them is heart-breaking, but will keep you on the edge of your seat.

    All in all, a great book and I adore this series.

    This book includes:
    -Hockey Romance
    -Forced Proximity/Housemates
    -Childhood friends – Enemies – Lovers
    -Second Chance

    I’m absolutely blown away by this book!! I absolutely loved book 1 in this series, and book 2 is equally amazing but very different! You often find that books in a standalone series are very repetitive, but that was not the case here. These books are sooo different but both are so amazing. The emotions in this book are next level. I was laughing one minute then crying the next. I absolutely love Tate and Link and the ending of their story was just perfect ❤️❤️❤️. Cannot wait to sta4t Brody’s book ????
