They took something from me, something that I didn’t know I needed until it was too late.
They hurt her.
They broke her… broke us.
They hurt her.
They broke her… broke us.
Now it’s my turn.
The need for revenge burns through my veins.
I’ll take everything from them.
I’ll hunt them down one by one.
I’ll make them pay in unimaginable ways.
No one will ever hurt her again, not even me.
The only question is, will I find my way back to Aspen before it’s too late.

4.5 stars for trilogy.
This is one of those series I just absolutely devoured. Two days for 3 books I couldn’t put them down. Each book got better and better.
This is a dark romance and I won’t sugarcoat it Quinton is peak Alpha-hole. Some of the things he does to Aspen throughout the trilogy cross the line, but once they are firmly in the romance stage OMG he would burn the world down for her.
I loved the setting of an elite mafia school. It created an atmosphere where you never knew who could be trusted and lead to some great twists and reveals.
I will definitely read more set in this universe if the stories are continued. If you are looking for a dark bully romance with steam and danger this is a great read. Trigger filled and deliciously dark.

Aspens journey is heartbreakingly beautiful and loved her breakthrough
A great conclusion to this couples journey and some unexpected twists

The Corium University series I found enjoyable as a whole. There were a few more unique ideas that made it feel a bit different than every other bully book, and I liked how it made it stand out.
The characters were likeable, but I sometimes felt like I was missing something…only to realise at the end of book 3 that there are series before it about other characters. Although not necessary to read those first, I feel like I may have had a better grasp of the “world” if I had read those prior.
The story had a good pace and plenty of action/steam/feelings. There were a few editing and continuity errors, but only one or two being enough to take me out of the story.
Recommended for those who enjoy bully/enemies to lovers.
⚠️ Dub-con, non-con (off page), bullying, torture, murder, drugging, kidnapping.

So wow ok I stumbled upon this series and read this first book thinking it was a standalone book in the series only to realise it wasn’t. But honestly I was so engrossed by these book that’s I’ve barely slept at all for the past 2 days.
I loved how much aspen and Quinton hated each other this was the Perfect enemies to loves. There relationship has the perfect pace. The stuff aspen went through was absolutely awful( defo check trigger warnings) but it showed how strong this heroine was.
I’m sad it came to and end and I’ve finished it but I’m looking forward to reading Lucas book next

BROKEN KINGDOM
Dark Enemies to Lovers Bully Romance
Coruim University series #3
J.L.Beck & C.Hallman
POV:Dual
Aspen and Quinton
Trilogy complete. Continues from the end of Drop Dead Queen. Must read in order.
Aspen really has no luck. She’s been put through the ringer since she’s started Corium.
Now, she’s recovering in the Rossi’s household, beaten and even more broken.
Quinton’s out for blood. When he and Ren found her in the state she was in and learned what was done to her, he’s out for revenge for what Matteo’s put Aspen throught, for what he’s put them both through. Quinton and Xander get a bit closer, call it bonding, mafia, Father and son style.
Aspen’s thankful to Xander for helping her, even after the way he’s treated her, even if it’s for Quinton’s sake. She knows he still doesn’t like her.
Not remembering what happened to her, Aspen is a shell of the person she used to be. Trying to piece things together, her heart is broken. She’s numb, with good reason, not knowing how to recover or come to terms with what she’s lost. A huge part of her died that night.
Her parents aren’t reachable, it doesn’t surprise her.
She’s not liking the looks of pity from Ella and Scarlett, Quinton’s Mother and Sister.
With all betrayal, sadness and pain people have put her through and let her down, she vows to become stronger. Cause, again, the only person she can count on is herself.
Xander’s told Quinton to let Aspen go. It’s for their family’s protection. Will he jeopardise his Mother’s and Sister’s lives for a girl who’s hated for her father’s crimes?
Back at Corium, in yet another new room, this time on the staffs floor, for her safety, away from the rest of the students. Private lessons with a selected few staff. With that, and the numbness, this is her new normal.
It broke Quinton to send Aspen away with his hateful words, it’s better if she hates him. It’s for everyone’s safety.
She knows that he’s pushing her away for her own good. She can’t help loving him, even though he’ll not love her back, how could he, after all that’s happened?
Noticing that everyone is moving out of her way, as if they’re scared of her. She’s even more paranoid, suffering panic attacks, nightmares, not surprising what she’s been though.
Nothing’s going to be the same again.
Will Aspen rise and become stronger, like a phoenix rising from the ashes and be a force to be reckoned with?
What else is there to be uncovered?
Absolutely loved this trilogy. Full of angst, secrets, drama, revenge, all the feels.
