Building Safety Act 2022 Log Book for Responsible Persons: Complies with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 as Amended by the BSA 2022
£9.50
Following the introduction of the Building Safety Act, a number of responsibilities have been placed upon Responsible Persons, such as the provisions of information to residents of residential buildings, co-operation with other Responsible Persons, provision of information to new Responsible Persons and co-operation with Accountable Persons in higher-risk buildings.
Whilst there is no requirement in the BSA or the FSA for an RP to formally record the actions they have taken to comply with the new duties, an enforcing authority (Fire and Rescue Service) can still require an RP to provide evidence that they have done so.
This booklet provides RPs with a means to record their actions which will provide suitable evidence to show the Fire and Rescue Authority that they have undertaken the new responsibilities satisfactorily. By recording actions in this way, an RP can reduce the risk of being served with an Enforcement Notice. Failure to comply with an EN can result in prosecution, the penalty for which is an unlimited fine and up to two years in prison.
Please keep this booklet with your Fire Risk Assessment, ready for inspection during a Fire Safety Audit.

Great way of recording the actions you take to comply with the additional responsibilities imposed by the new BSA law. Good explanations included and plenty of space to write down everything you’ve done. Should help landlords avoid prosecution!
