I am interested in Italic calligraphy. But in the Italic section of this book, the book does not have lower case ‘y’ and ‘z’. Page 68 – q to x. Page 69 a to h. Page 70 i to p. Then capitals. Disappointing!
Yes, the pages are also in the wrong order Page 68 should be a to h and so on.
I went to the youtube content accessed via the QR code in the book and Mikhail writes the letters without any italic slant or slope; they are just straight like foundational calligraphy. The example on page 77 of the book has an italic slant but the youtube guidance does not. Also, the page is kept at an angle to the camera so that you cannot see the pen strokes properly.
Come on Mikhail, do the Italic youtube video again but with the paper straight and the letters with an italic slant including the lower case y and z missing from the book.
