A complete training course for the Certificate of Professional Competence Operators Licence.
Written by experts, this superb training course, prepared for the 2022 syllabus, has it all. A comprehensive and easy to follow course manual prepared by haulage industry professionals.
If you wish to be licenced as a Transport Operator in Road Haulage, you must demonstrate your ‘professional competence’. This means passing the CPC examinations. These are R1, the multiple-choice question and answer test, and R2, based on case studies.
This course will help prepare you for all aspects of the CPC Operator exams in a step-by-step manner. This enables you to study comfortably and easily, at your own pace and in your own time. You will learn at the best possible speed and take the examinations in as short a time as possible.
Attaining a CPC qualification will give you prestige and the respect of your colleagues inside the haulage industry, both in the UK and Internationally. This applies equally to a career as an owner-driver of a heavy goods vehicle, or as a professional manager with an employer responsible for any number of vehicles. You will not need prior qualifications to pass the exam. To succeed, you just need to study this course material and when you are ready take the two-part exam.

If you are interested in road haulage management or a HGV driver who wants to keep up with current law and legislation…this book is for you. The book also puts you in CPC Manager framework for your exams.

“A Complete CPC Operators course” is a rather over-optimistic title!
The book does contain some useful information, but key information is missing, and it is worrying that a 2022 edition refers to OCR examinations (which were discontinued in early 2021 for new candidates!)
Having said that, the book is considerably cheaper than most training manuals and would be a good starting point for someone considering taking the exams, but I don’t think using this material alone without additional tuition would give most a realistic expectation of passing the exams.
PS. What’s with the 12 pages of irrelevant tables of VED duty rates???

DONT BUY..Im doing the Transport Manager CPC this year 2023 and brought the book last Autumn, as im taking the exam only route. Its got so many inconsistances and mistakes. It needs looking at. For eg you CAN now drive a catagory B,, car with a trailer exceeding 750kg. The legislation changed during covid. I know i work for one of the “Agencies”

A Wonderful Book

Not easy to read as it doesn’t flow. It seems that bits have been added over the years without somebody reviewing the whole section to ensure it reads properly. Not worth the money.
