What a beautiful stunning catalogue. I am grateful to have made this purchase as South Africa does not supply this kind thing. I do have another book on Dior so knew what to expect. It does not outflank the knew one so I am in love again.

Have been lucky enough to visit the amazing Dior Exhibition. Didn’t buy the book at the time as its heavy, but the Amazon price is much better anyway. Its a beautiful book with some informative text but the star of the show is the full page photos of the wonderful outfits. The hard back linen cover with embossed writing and marker ribbon make this book feel more luxurious. Would definitely recommend. Absolutely love it.

I went to see the magnificent Dior show at the Victotia and Albert museum in London – it was the best (!) exhibition. The best exhibition I have ever seen with hundreds of amazing dresses and an almost surreal, magical atmosphere. As of now, the exhibition is sold out but the museum releases a number of tickets each morning so if you come early enough you will see it – that’s what I did.
This book is an addition to the exhibition but would be seen, I imagine, as rather boring and perhaps somewhat lacking if purchased by layman. You have to see the exhibition to fully appreciate beautiful dresses and ensambles filling pages of this heavy hardback.
Please try to see the exhibition “Dior: Designer of Dreams” at V&A Museum until 1 September 2019. It is indeed dreamy.

I went to the V&A exhibit and didn’t get the book at the time. Was so glad to see this on amazon after. Beautiful book, and great to have on display.

The guide is a lovely companion to the exhibition, which itself was amazing. The book takes you through each of the rooms you visit in the exhibition and highlights the most stunning parts. It’s also a really interesting read, as I personally didn’t manage to read/absorb everything whilst there, it was nice to sit at home and have a leisurely read at my own pace. If you’re considering going to the exhibition, do, even if you’re not the biggest high end fashion fan, the V&A does it so well that it’ll be a memory that stays with you long after you visit. Buy the book if you can’t!

Truth be told I love the book by its look (havent actually looked into it). A nice coffee table book.
