This was very easy to order and download, thus making it very economical. However, I don’t think it works well on a kindle. You have to keep rebooting the machine to follow instructions (which are very minimal!) and the diagrams are hard to see and not very professionally drawn. I prefer to work from a paper pattern, and would have liked to have been able to print it off but never found a way of doing so. I resorted to typing it out myself and in doing so realised how basic the patterns and instructions are. I think a novice knitter would struggle to understand them, but they do provide a guide to work from and create your own Barbie wardrobe.

This helped a little bit , but was not as good as I expected

I don’t actually have a problem with the pattern except it doesn’t say what size knitting needles to use. What am I supposed to do try various sizes till I find the right one?

Am happy this was only 99p. I echo what others have written – the diagrams are impossible to read on a Kindle, and I will have to guess!

Sadly, when it says “follow diagram”, the diagram itself will not enlarge. I use the Kindle on near maximum font size, because of my poor eyesight, so this is a real drawback. I have to guess the instructions and measurements at that point.

I’ve liked using this and have made several garments from it. Instructions are a bit minimal but the patterns are simple. The styles are a bit 1970s but I don’t think our Barbies mind!

I really haven’t done anything with this book yet as I’m not a great knitter. But the patterns look lovely and some of them are really easy to make
