Circuits overloaded from electric circuit analysis?

Many universities require that students pursuing a degree in electrical or computer engineering take an Electric Circuit Analysis course to determine who will “make the cut” and continue in the degree program. Circuit Analysis For Dummies will help these students to better understand electric circuit analysis by presenting the information in an effective and straightforward manner.

Circuit Analysis For Dummies gives you clear-cut information about the topics covered in an electric circuit analysis courses to help further your understanding of the subject. By covering topics such as resistive circuits, Kirchhoff’s laws, equivalent sub-circuits, and energy storage, this book distinguishes itself as the perfect aid for any student taking a circuit analysis course.

  • Tracks to a typical electric circuit analysis course
  • Serves as an excellent supplement to your circuit analysis text
  • Helps you score high on exam day

Whether you’re pursuing a degree in electrical or computer engineering or are simply interested in circuit analysis, you can enhance you knowledge of the subject with Circuit Analysis For Dummies.

    Excellent book! Would be useful for undergraduates studying electronics and instrumentation. Gives easy to follow explanations and insight into circuit analysis and the mathematics involved.

    This does require a fair knowledge of electronics to understand it properly.

    Wow! This book is great! Wish I had this one a year ago. Have worked through “Nilsson and Riedel” during two though subjects, this one covers more of less the same, excellently explained in some 300 pages. Now I use it to refresh, it really helps me a lot. If you are buying “Nilsson and Riedel”, get this one as help on the side. Highly recommended.

    I bought this book based on its title … total waste of money a d far from being for beginners, the inexperienced or ‘dummies’

    * Physical

    This softback book has 362 pages and is of a reasonable font size so those with specs can read it easily. There are many grey scale images, mathematical fonts and the book is light to hold when reading.

    * Target audience, A -level, / H.N.D, Undergraduate, graduate, post graduate?

    This book is targeted as H.N.D (1) or (2) and first year degree electrical engineering types.

    * Explain what you like about this book

    This book is a lovely, rich and clear exploration of the basics of circuit analysis using mathematical and engineering techniques and eventually solving first and second differential equations. The usage of Ohm’s, Kirchhoff’s voltage and current laws, Nodal analysis, superposition techniques is very well explained. The aim, being to grasp small circuits with components modelling by differential equations. These good bits are held back to the latter half of the book. I thought initially this was lacking in some way, but this book held the best for last. Can i explain i have learned to use these in other books but this book is as well designed as any i have encountered prior to this book. The only downside being is there are few questions and answers in this book to practice these skill on and to test your comprehension with. So you may need to work with other sources for questions.

    * Summary

    This book is as clear as it can be to explain and learn this fundamental topic. Its real quality work by the author and is both helpful and enjoyable to learn from. In my case its a refresher that’s real quality.
