Another excellent publication by BAAF.

I think there has currently been very little direct research indicating outcomes of Contact in Adoption and Permanent Foster Care. What information there is, is mostly anecdotal and decisions “in the field” seem to be made on policy and individual practitioner rather than as a result of evidence-based guidelines. However, I felt this book did it’s best to summarise and bring together the evidence and thinking as it currently exists. I’ve read some of the papers by Elsbeth Neil, and I’ve found them very well thought-out and thorough. Probably the best UK book on this subject at the moment.
