This is a lovely book, personally I struggle to read but this was laid out so the sentences would flow. It discusses love in different scenarios: friends, strangers, family, gaining love and losing love. It is laid out in an interview style so most of it consists of different conversations with various specialists/authors etc. I would highly recommend to anyone

Buying for everyone I know. Absolutely loved it, so thought provoking and a reminder to love with intent even in the most mundane moments as they’re the ones we remember

A great collection of conversations on all types of love. Natasha interviews a wide range of contemporary voices and they offer discussion on everything from platonic love, familial love, motherhood and grief. It is jam-packed full of wisdom!
Thank you to NetGalley and Penguin for this ARC.

I can’t recommend this book enough, regardless of your circumstances (single, married, etc) – it’s one of the best books I’ve read in a while, and I will certainly return to it in future to re-read different sections. It talks about all the different relationships in our lives – romantic partners, friendships, parents. One section I found particularly relevant was on friendships and how to navigate those older friendships where you see yourself drifting apart from each other.

A poignant and thought-provoking book that covers a wide range of topics including tough ones like mourning. A love-ly read that gets you thinking and reflecting.

I heard this book talked about on a podcast and got curious. The way love is talked about in this book is great. The reality of love, and grief and all the things in between. It was a really interesting read and it started some interesting conversations between me and some of my friends.

Partially in awe, partially disappointed.
I know, weird feedback to give to a book, but that’s exactly what I felt reading through the chapters.
The scope of the book is to explore all the different forms of love via the storytelling of individual real-life experiences. What love is in relationship, friendships, grief and life-changes. It is explored in detail through the personal stories of several characters, all experts in their own relative fields.
It’s one of those books that truly makes you think, that sort of wakes you up from a trance and makes you say “Why am I wasting my time on these other unimportant things in life?”.
Very good light reading on the tube or in those dead moments of reflection.
Why the 2 stars? Well, given the topic of the book it’s not exactly the kind of read that sucks you in. Took me a few months to get through it. It’s quite slow and at points severely repetitive. Would still reccomend reading though.

Such a great exploration of love, in it’s many forms, by many writers I admire. I enjoy it as a bedside companion and dip in and out of it. Thought provoking and stimulates my own reflections on love. Such a nice gift too.
