Exhaustive and mainly for professionals if to be studied throughout. Un fortunately he did not provide the exercises in all the keys written out. This means one can waste quite a bit of time working out how to play the given pattern in all the keys.For the amateur it is best to be guided by a teacher who will select a few appropriate to the pupil.

These studies are invaluable. Just doing a small fraction of them will improve your technique over time. The only problem is the print quality of the fingering numbers is not too good; 3 and 5 look almost the same in many places. You need a good light and up to date glasses prescriptions (if you wear them!).

Very helpful book, actual layout inside could be nicer to read, but on the whole, a great book for reasonably experienced pianists (grade 4 onwards).
