Am a fellow author who likes to buy and review similar books to mine and Dare to Care: Pet Dragon is a complete jewel! Amazing illustrations, great layout and beautifully written in a factual tone. Throughout the book are ‘facts’ on what you will need and do to care for your own dragon. The illustrations are stunning and detailed and are sure not to disappoint. Can highly recommend this book to anyone who loves dragons!

I love this book and I am sure my grandson will too. Fantasy facts about looking after and training your dragon. Written in the style of a fact book -great humour, great illustrations. Just the thing for getting a youngster interested in reading if they are not much into stories. It will give adults a chuckle too.

Although it is a wonderful book mine has come and it looks like the cover has been stuck on cardboard! There is no edging so the cover is already coming away!!

The hardback cover is, in my opinion, a great design. It is slightly raised in places (part of the intended design) and my 7 year old son tonight commented on the feeling of the ‘lava mucus’ and ‘pus filled warts’.
The book is written as if a manual/ guide to keeping dragons. It has creative vocabulary. My 7 year old independent reader is able to read most of the book himself but there are several words which challenge him and have extended his vocabulary and comprehension. Most importantly it has made my son, my husband and I laugh out loud. The illustrations are beautiful and detailed.
I would highly recommend this book.
