Still loves them years later and will reread them. Prior to finding these book she spent more time arguing and fighting about not wanting to learn to read. How she would find a job that she didn’t need to learn to read for instead of channelling that energy into reading.
Once she found these books she found an interest and very quickly devoured all the books in the series that were available, I would have to pre-order the future books as she would be waiting desperately for the next edition.
Thank you for teaching my daughter to read independently.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Wrecking Ball” is an absolute delight for fans of Greg Heffley’s misadventures! Jeff Kinney has done it again, delivering a book that’s both laugh-out-loud funny and surprisingly touching.
In this 14th installment of the series, Greg’s family decides to undertake a home renovation project. As you can imagine, chaos and hilarity ensue. Kinney’s signature blend of witty humor and relatable situations had me chuckling on every page.
What I love most about this book is its ability to capture the essence of family life. It’s not just about the gags and pranks; it’s about the bonds between siblings and the ups and downs of family dynamics. “Wrecking Ball” brings a fresh perspective to the series, while still staying true to what makes Diary of a Wimpy Kid so special.
The illustrations, as always, are a perfect complement to the story, adding an extra layer of humor. Kinney’s knack for understanding the inner workings of a middle-schooler’s mind shines through, making this book not just for kids, but for anyone who enjoys a good laugh and a heartwarming tale.
Whether you’re a longtime fan or new to the series, “Wrecking Ball” is a must-read. It’s a five-star addition to the Diary of a Wimpy Kid collection, and I can’t wait to see what hilarious adventures await Greg Heffley in the future!
