This book is an absolute must for any veterinary surgeon and any goat owner. Even in veterinary practices there is often very limited experience of goat ailments and treatments leaving the goat owner with great concerns when thing go wrong so this book is invaluable and I wish all vets practices would purchase a copy as it is definitely the “go to” book and it is very difficult to find such knowledgeable information on goats anywhere else. Although I am not a vet I find the information contained in this book to be enormously helpful and reassuring as it provide in depth information on ALL aspects of goat health issues including : 1] Female fertility 2] Abortion,3] Male infertility 4]The Periparturient goat 5] Weak kid 6] Inadequate growth rates 7] lameness in adult goats 8] Lameness in kids 9]Chronic weight loss 10] External swellings 11]Skin disease 12] Nervous disease 13] Disease of the mammary gland 14] Diarrhoea 15] Colic 16]Abdominal distension 17] Respiratory disease 18] Anaemia 19] Sudden death. post mortem and euthanasia 20] Eye disease 21]Plant poisoning 22] The geriatric goat 23] Herd health and biosecurity 24] Anaesthetic 25]Disbudding and dehorning 26] Surgical techniques and appendix Drugs for goats. Brilliant, you won’t find another book that comes anywhere close to this one.
I will do my best to persuade the veterinary practice that I use to obtain a copy for themselves

Useful book with plenty of colour pictures. Quite technical but that’s what I wanted.
