I can usually read a ‘Do’ book in an hour or so. This one was a difficult read because the writing style and examples left me feeling a bit alienated. Many of the examples are taken from the music industry and I didn’t feel the examples had enough strength in them to allow the example to sink in. Perhaps I was expecting too much.
The chapter on ‘Collaboration’ made me feel alienated as I couldn’t relate to the opening paragraphs which were used to support the exercise on the ‘Prisoner’s Dilema’.
There are some useful nuggets of information in the book, but I didn’t feel they were backed up with examples which lead you to the moment where it all sinks and you grasp the concept.

I’ve overseen many deals in my life and I wish I had read this first. A beautifully crafted short book on how to craft elegant deals. It inspires me to see deal making as an opportunity for deeper relationships in order to best serve all parties.
A light, entertaining read that had me laughing out loud in places. Thank you Richard and Andrew.
