Setting out on the entrepreneur’s path can be intimidating. It will not only test your creativity and commitment but push you further than you thought possible. It’s also one of the most rewarding journeys you will ever make.

Dan Kieran, co-founder and former CEO of an award-winning publishing platform and self-confessed ‘accidental entrepreneur’, takes you through all aspects of running a business: from initial idea to getting started, building a brand, growing a team, raising money and dealing with investors, and perhaps most importantly, developing a founder’s mindset and managing your own mental health.

When you are unsure of who ― and what ― to rely on, Do Start will be your trusted guide. Until, finally, you discover that the real win is not the company you build or money you make, but the person you become.

A brilliant book full of inspiration and practical insight to help you on your way to starting your next big thing. (Helpful even if you’ve already started as I have with YADA Collective and Sticky Bee Marketing) Highly recommend you pick it up and give it a read.

The first of the Do/ series for me, so now I look forward to getting my hands on the others.

    Thanks Dan.

This book gives good, honest advice on running a business; it based on the author’s own experience of creating a multi-million pound business.

The words are crafted nicely, it reads a little bit like a speech and sometimes like a mentor offering words of wisdom. It’s a condensed journey starting with founding a business, right through to success and beyond. It covers lots of stuff in between too!
I found the Chapter on ‘Working on Yourself’ to be very honest and motivating. The chapter on ‘Culture and Building a Team’ was probably the most useful as it discusses building a team that shares your vision.

I think this book makes for a useful guide and would recommend this book to entrepreneurs and people starting on the exciting journey of creating a business.
