A bit disapponted with the content but otherwise it is a satisfactory record of Elstree Studios and so I would describe it as coffer-table reading. Interesting but not particularly revealing.

I found this book very interesting and photos of the stars and close up scenes. I also been to the studios for a tv show being made and it’s like a small! Hollywood at Elstree. Favourite films were made by Lucas and Spielberg.

Interesting book fully illustrated with rare behind the scenes photos of the many Great British productions from both TV and radio that have been filmed at the studios over the years.
Would make a fascinating documentary.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading Elstree Studios: A Celebration. It was a great read – highly informative and well-researched. It charts the progress and evolution of a British Institution through film, television and film again. It includes rare and precious publicity photos most of which have remained unseen since they were first published. I would recommend this book to anyone with a passion for British films and television.
