“Shattered or whole. Kneeling or standing. I’ll get to her, and I won’t ever leave. This time, I’ll make her understand what we are, together. And if anyone dares to hurt her, I’ll burn them to the ground without a second thought.”
Divided by Oceans but Eternally Bonded
Morgan Pendragon has another name now: Morgan Le Fay. As her true heritage slowly emerges from the mists of the past, Morgan renounces one possible future as the new ruler of the fierce Siabra fae and the wife of the Prince of Claws and vanishes through a portal–returning to Camelot and the Rose Court where her friends and younger brother lie in mortal peril from Arthur’s cruel wiles.
But back in the Court of Claws, Kairos Draven won’t allow his beloved to disappear from his life so easily. His bond with Morgan goes beyond blood, love, life, and even time itself and neither one of them can relinquish its power or its pull.
Yet Morgan is no ordinary woman. Not only is she beginning to manifest remarkable abilities, but the powers of the gods themselves run through her veins, bestowing her with an unimaginable power and an unthinkable claim over all of Aercanum and beyond…
A claim which some will stop at nothing to put a halt to…

✨????️Book Review????️✨
Briar Boleyn’s *Empress of Fae* had me on an emotional rollercoaster from start to finish. First of all, let me get this out there—I do love me some Draven! So, when his stepmom got what she deserved, I couldn’t help but cheer. But, wait, that wasn’t the only twist! Lancelot being mad at Morgan had me screaming, “Come on, just talk it out! She didn’t want to leave you!”
This book, though, it really pulled at my heartstrings. It took some of my favorite characters and… well, let’s just say there were some tearful moments. But who knew I’d end up needing a bearkin chef in my life?
There were so many layers to this story that left me guessing. What’s Orcades really up to? Will Morgan ever meet her real father? And what about her uncle, can we trust him? Oh, and don’t even get me started on Arthur—I hate that guy!
Draven, though, he’s just something else. That way with words and his burning desire to be with Morgan had me rooting for him all the way. Fenyx, on the other hand, gave me serious red flags—I couldn’t wait for Draven to sort him out!
Then there’s that mysterious figure in the alter world. Who could it be? Is it Morgan’s dad? What’s the bigger picture here?
Speaking of relationships, the bond between Orcades and Morgan is incredible. I just loved it but also eww Is that baby really Arthur’s, and how is it a tool?
And what’s up with Terrin? Definitely feels like the snitch here, and where is Javier when you need him?????
Finally, all those twists towards the end blew my mind. The heart-eating and all the questions it raised—I can’t wait for the next installment!
In a nutshell, *Empress of Fae* exceeded all my bookish hopes. Briar Boleyn broke my heart a million times with those who perished, and now I’m left yearning for the next book. Can’t wait for more epicness and heartache! ????????✨
Thank you for the chance to read this book ✨

I was worried going into this as Morgan really infuriated me in Court of Claws and I didn’t think I could cope with any more of her childish whinging – thankfully she is much less infuriating in Empress of Fae! Morgan is definitely growing up and becoming less frustrating (although she’s still not a particularly likable MC for me).
On top of a slightly less petulant Morgan we also get a Draven POV! I’m not usually a fan of split POVs but on this occasion it was much needed and a welcome reprieve from Morgan. I also don’t think the story would have been half an engaging if we hadn’t know what Draven was up to and what was in store! There were a couple of other POVs thrown in too which I really enjoyed and I actually wish we had seen more chapters from them as I think that could have really added some complex layers to this book.
The romance. I have been struggling with the romance in this series honestly. There just doesn’t seem to be any real foundation or connection between them – just lust and Draven’s seeming inability to think of Morgan as anything but perfect? There’s definitely a spark there but I think the romance just feels very one dimensional to me. I will say their romance felt better in this book and I’m starting to buy it a little bit? I think?
This leads to my biggest gripe with this series so far. I haven’t really believed any of the characters. None have spoken to me or felt as well developed as I had hoped. Which is such as shame as I have really loved and enjoyed the plot and the world but without engaging characters the books just fall a bit flat for me.
I love the plot and how Arthurian myths have been interwoven throughout. The pacing was a bit inconsistent for me in this book with a slower start and a fasted paced ending but I didn’t mind that at all as it really lent itself to everything coming together towards the end.
Despite my complaints I will absolutely be reading the next instalment as while the characters aren’t what I want I do feel like everything else is spot on! I love the world building, the storyline, the pacing, the prose itself – all really solid, it’s just that character development isn’t where I want it to be.
Thank you to NetGalley and Victory Editing for an E-ARC

So much happened in this book, I felt like I was constantly guessing who was trustworthy, or was playing both sides, were there just two sides? Was everyone playing their own agenda??
I loved the way the hints and foreshadowing was laid out, leaving enough uncertainty to keep you guessing and undecided throughout the book.
I can’t wait for book four for what will undoubtedly be an epic conclusion to this series!

I RAN to download as soon as it released!
Book 3 in the blood of the fae series, I’d ADORED books one and two so knew I needed this.
And OMG this one did not disappoint.
I love the #arthurian vibes in this #fantasyseries (with very brilliant twists I might add) as we follow Morgan Pendragon, Draven (who is vying with Xaden for my current book boy friend spot at the moment!) Swipe for a quote that made me melt!
I adore the world building in this series. It’s a brilliant mix of Fae realms, fantasy, adventure, and slow burn romance that finally gets spicy in this one.
And how the characters have developed and how the plot has twisted to become so much more had me totally hooked.
I dont want to give away spoilers in this, because honestly if you love fantasy reads you NEED to check this one out!
This is a series that starts of strong and just gets better and better. All five star reads for me.
I soooooo cant wait for book 4.
