As an AS law student, this book has been of invaluable use to me. It lays out information succinctly, easily and thus effectively.
Jacqueline Martin’s style is user friendly, and I like the book’s simplicity. All information is easily presented, with logical sections, subsections, headings etc, and so one can find information without hassle.
However, there is one negative to this book. Sometimes, the information will not comply with what Jacqueline Martin has previously written. I also have her AS Law book (the 2nd edition), and sometimes the information in this book will not match with what is in the revision book I am reviewing. For example, the English Legal System book will say “The Act of Settlement 1701”, but then her text book says “The Act of Settlement 1700”. I find discrepancies like this inconsistent, and they result in me having to take extra diligence by the means of research to ensure that the information is correct.
Overall, the English Legal System book is a must-have, and if one takes law exams in any way, then I would highly recommend this as the information will generally make things clearer.

Excellent revision tool for AS Law. Provides key points and supports these with case law that is logically laid out in addition to the key law being identified.
