Like all the Tuttle books I have had, this one is great value for money.
Each grammar point is explained, with examples. It covers a very wide range of grammar points, so is going to be useful throughout one’s learning journey.
Beginners will not be able to understand all the example sentences, but I don’t think that is a problem. Indeed, one can come back to the book at a later date to read those, providing additional practice.
I am following the HSK course route, and like to look up each grammar point in this book to be sure I have learnt it properly.
A very useful book for the Chinese-learner’s library, which will be useful from your first days learning the language, and for many years to come.
