I purchased this book for my nephew who is studying music in university. He has found it very useful so far as he has been writing songs as part of his course.

How many times have you been stuck finding a suitable rhyme when writing down your own lyrics? That was often the case with myself, that is until I got hold of this small, but very useful book, and so glad I did. It has been a great help in finding the best and most suitable words to use when stuck for a good rhyme, and also helped me to not just add extra lines to my lyrics, but to complete them as well. A perfect example was when I had trouble finding the best rhyme for the word “say” (coz there is too many of them) in a song I could not finish. Thanks to this most excellent song writing dictionary, “risque” happened to be the word most suitable, and thus song completed.
As this book is American, some of the rhymes may not fit in with the way us Brits pronounce them. (Like, according to this dictionary, “tornado” rhymes with “Colorado”. Well you know how they say “tomato” don’t ya’!). At the start of the book thou, there are some useful tips on better lyric writing, in addition to a glossary on rhyme schemes.
My advice to anyone who writes lyrics; either for the fun of it, or professionally, is to own a good song rhyming dictionary, such as this one, as it can, and will be a great aid in helping you to avoid some of the lyrical cliches (such as rhyming “fire” with “desire”), and in many cases, complete unfinished lyrics you may have laying around too.

Obviously many sites provide rhyme means but if you have no net it at some point it useful to have as a book. It is focused on word rhyme less rhyme of pronunciation and the author did exclude words he decided wouldn’t be used in song. I understood that logic but does reduces library of rhyme
