I think this book is a must read for any stage mum and daughter/son,I think Abby has a brilliant way of teaching and I wish my teachers where more like her. I think my mum could learn a thing or two from this book as Abby goes into great detail of what she expects from her parents and kids.There really is a fantastic method to her madness !

My daughter is a big fan of Dance Moms and wanted this book for her birthday. It’s not widely available and can be quite expensive. I was pleased with the purchase and price and my daughter was delighted with the book, she hasn’t read it yet but is desperate to start.

I expected to here more about the life and personality of this crazy woman, and far, far less of her “instructions” as to how parents should bring up their children!!

Bought this some time ago as a present for my wife as she was very much into Dance Moms at the time. This book was, apparently, shining a new light on the shows host/dance teacher Abby. Haven’t red it myself but my wife liked it.

I bought this book because my daughter and I both love the show ‘Dance Moms’ and although we are familiar with Abby, even if you aren’t (or don’t like dance) there is some very sound advice in here! I almost wish I’d read it when my daughter was much younger (rather than the 18 she is now) because some of the things Abby says really make sense – like by cushioning your child from life’s knocks and all the bad stuff you are not really helping them. Like her or loathe her, Abby does have some sound parenting advice and the book also gives an insight into the TV show – makes you realise ‘reality’ TV shows are not really ‘reality’ – SO much is scripted. I did know this before, but this book explained so much more!

I bought this for my wife; I absolutely hate the programme and would like nothing to do with it, but she loves it and it made her happy, so in that one and only sense it was an excellent purchase. And at least when Abby Lee arrives in print form I don’t have to listen to her. (Abby that is; I still have to listen to my wife obviously).

I am really happh . I think it shows a very different perspective but is hard core facts, not all, believe in yourself and you will reach the stars . Its more telling truth than what you want to hear . I wouldn’t recommend this for sensitive kods , because they might take it to heart to much and think that that they are rubbish. It tells you tips on how to handle real situations which have been written by parents. But overall great ????.
