    If I had picked up this book in a bookshop I would have put it down. Recipe photos in black and white are not at all appetising. Recipes written one after another on the same pages not one recipe on each page…very amateurish. Also if I had known the measurements were only in American cups with no metic equivalents I would definitely not have bought it. Sorry but I am very disappointed with this book

    Have just opened the envolope containing my book. Have not read the contents yet but at first glance I am disappointed. Thete are 153 recipes not 200 as stated in thw right up and not a picture in sight as to what the finished food should look like. I will read and look at it properly tonight and re evaluate my review accordingly.

    A very sensible book. It has lots of great advice, and some lovely recipes. But….

    Firstly – my pet hate. There are two indexes – one at the front with recipes organised by meal (eg. breakfast, snacks etc), the other in the back is an alphabetical list. But the list at the back doesn’t have ANY page numbers beside the recipes. So I have no idea why it’s even been included. It needs an index organised by main ingredient. I’m not a normal person – I don’t always eat breakfast dishes at breakfast! So why organise them that way?

    Secondly – there are some lovely looking dishes on the front, but I have no idea which recipes are being represented. Why is there no list on the first page (with all the other publishing information)? Wouldn’t that be helpful? If anyone knows what they are, can someone please post the info?

    And finally – other books have alot more recipes. However, there is some really interesting information about the condition which is worth a read.
