This book gives you an excellent insight into the study of cinema.
Warren Buckland knows his subject well, and he describes every aspect of the films he writes about in such good detail.
One of the films mentioned in this book is The Big Sleep (1946). With help of this book I was able to use it to analyse and write about The Big Sleep, which I had never done before with any other film.
There are two books on film studies I recommend. This one and Film Studies For Dummies.
