Love this series of books. I was interested in how this character would fit into the series but it is done well and does make sence connecting the odd sisters of course into the story line as well as other know characters

So disappointed !! Love this series and really was looking forward to reading about one of my favourite villains but sadly it never even arrived I ordered it back in July/August and here I am in October still with no news other then “running late”.

The book is super. A really easy and enjoyable read. Helps tie some ends from previous books too. Serena Valentino is a super author and her writing makes you feel like you are within the story as you are reading. I love that there are “chapters” taken straight from the book of fairy tales too. It really helps the flow of the book.
I only have two issues. Non to do with the writing of the book. Number one, I pre-ordered this book off Amazon and waited for well over a month for delivery. On ordering I was given the expected date of the 7th of August, I didn’t receive my book until the 7th of September.
Number two, there seems to be a printing issue for the book. Once I got to page 188-189 there is a black smudge of ink over some writing. This really disappointed me.
I am also a little sad that the book cover doesn’t completely follow the trend of previous books with the ‘rage’ picture on the back of the book. If I handnt took the cover off (I wouldn’t usually take the cover off a hard back) I wouldn’t have noticed the ‘rage’ picture under it.
Over all I LOVED the story, just a shame about the shipping and printing error.

Fire & Fate is about Hades from Disney’s Hercules, and how he came to be the villainous king of the underworld we know so well. I loved reading his backstory and how his story overlapped with other Disney stories, for example, The Little Mermaid, and other well-known characters such as Gothel and Maleficent. At times I was somewhat confused but I think this was simply that there were a lot of characters mentioned and I found it a little bit hard to keep on top of them all. Despite this, I loved the author’s writing style and thought that Hades was portrayed excellently, as I could almost HEAR him saying his words the way the movie character would have. I would definitely recommend this to any Disney fans, particularly fans of Hades like me! Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher.
