Five Little Ducks: BSL (Hands-On Songs)
£4.70
Children are able to communicate by signing before they develop the skills necessary for speech. By teaching simple sign language to children from as young as eight months, we can help them to convey their emotions and their needs. When children begin to talk, having sign language to fall back on provides a comforting safety net. Favourite nursery rhymes and songs, with babies and toddlers, signing and miming along. Developed with the support of Lancashire C.C. Early Years and Childcare Service, and SureStart Resources Ltd. as part of their ‘Sing, Sign & Rhyme’ series, these books encourage actions through mime and BSL signs.

My daughter loves reading this book as it is simple in the actions you can use to help them learn the song & count.

Used to teach myself some sign for a new little girl in my class, some of the pictures can end up out of order but are good visuals.

quite a lot of book for a short story with limited signs. Could have been a smaller book, but a basic starter which will last as very durable.

Good product and service

My 13 month old loves the signing song books. They are a nice size for little hands to explore the books themselves (board books) too.
You dont need the book once you have learned it but they still like looking at it and he picks it up and waves it so we will do the song.

Useful for my toddler group. Making sign language accessible for all.
