Fix Your High Blood Pressure in 90 Days or Less: Scientific Methods to Break Free from Life Long Prescription Meds
£12.30
“After reading this book, most lay people will know as much or more about elevated blood pressure than their doctor does, and most physicians will be far better able to effectively treat their patients with hypertension. I would recommend this book to my patients and colleagues, and no doubt will even employ some of his sage wisdom in my own life.”

I stumbled on Dr Joe on YouTube while looking for blood pressure advice. I had already been prescribed a low dose of ACE blockers. Typical pressure was 148/105, and I felt pretty panicked.I wanted to do everything I could to take care of myself as well. It’s a very readable book with lots of tips and tricks. I’ve taken on so many changes to my diet and doing lots of walking, and started to feel so much better. You may well be shocked to notice how different you feel as your pressure drops!
Very often, people are started on low doses of tablets, with the intention of raising the dosage as long as their blood tests show it’s not causing problems. Possibly, it could be argued, as a result of Dr Joe’s advice, I’ve been told I can stay on the “starter” dosage. I’m six weeks in and my blood pressure this morning was 113/78, so within normal range. Also, as a side effect of my changes to lifestyle as advised, I’ve lost a stone in weight!
Get yourself a really good BP monitor too. (Read my review on the Omron Comfort Automatic!)
I know it sounds like an overused phrase, but Dr Joe’s a liversaver. Watch his videos too- he’s so positive, which is just what we need when we’re panicking about our health. Good luck!

The book is worth reading as the author definitely knows what he’s talking about.. But far too much waffle and unnecessary content which makes it hard to read.. actually raised my blood pressure wading through pointless bits..

Great read, easy to understand and really good info on BP and how to tackle it.
I found the fact that the author tried and tested some of the natural remedies is great.
It’s a good book if you are starting your HBP journey and trying to control it.

I didn’t learn anything new and the book could’ve been much shorter

One month in and results have been positive. A lot of information not all of which you need to know and some of it too technical for me but shows the author has done his research. For a book designed to motivate you to beat medication it lacks a final punch-it would have been helpful if the author had given some idea of how long it took for his blood pressure to reduce to the levels the book aspires to reach? He doesn’t provide any figures from personal experience nor from others on how effective it is. My BP reduced to an average of 131/82 from an 150/88 average in a month of following a strict diet based on his recommendations and nitric oxide dump exercises. The month on medication before reading the book did nothing. A valuable book.

This book is another vintage presentation for Dr. joe. It is well-researched and presented with simplicity and a touch of humour. I have read about three-quarters of the book, which is very helpful and enlightening.
