Frozen Hearts is my first book by RA Smyth and ???????????? I’ve been missing out big time!!
Riley, Logan, Royce, Grayson.
OMG I love this book!! It is sooo good!! The writing is incredible, the storyline too! It has a bit of everything I love while also covering some heavy topics in a really sensitive way. I love it ❤️❤️.
Throw in a sprinkle of hockey, a stepbrother, revenge plot and you have an amazing dark romance book!!!
I cannot wait for the next book to see how the story plays out and how much grovelling is required!

Wow , I have no words for how I’m feeling right now. This book took me on a very emotional rollercoaster. My heart broke for Riley and I can’t wait for her to make these boys not men grovel because they all do need to grovel , one more than the other two. Honestly this book had me so gripped I just couldn’t put it down even when I wanted to throw my kindle at the wall. This book was incredible and I am desperately waiting for the next book. I need to see these boys on their knees begging for Riley’s forgiveness. Phenomenal five star read that I will be shouting from the rooftops about.

With each new release I find a new favourite and this time I’m not sure they can be beaten. I love Riley and as of right now Royce and Grayson are neck and neck in the book boyfriend ranks.
Sorry Logan, you’re just too nice for me. Which is saying something since the kidnapping part you played. I love the back story for these characters, the twisted story that I cannot wait to see unfold. I absolutely hate Riley’s mom and I doubt that’s going to change. I guess I should be relieved that this is a duet so I get all of my happy ever after feels sooner!

Wow! I’m a bit speechless. This may be my favourite book yet by this author. There are some triggers which the author has listed.
I couldn’t put this down, I was hooked from the first few pages and was frantically reading until the last page. Riley is a complex well written character who reminds me of a Phoenix- rising up to every single time she’s broken and coming back stronger. Love her! I thought Hadley was one of my favourite heroines but Riley is on par with her .
The men are all unique in their own way, you have a golden retriever personality in Logan, tattooed mysterious one in Royce and Grayson is the angry & entitled one. I fell in love with Logan!! The others need to do a lot of grovelling.
There is soo much that goes on in this book, there are many twists and secrets which still need to be uncovered. Ends on a cliffhanger which leaves you with sooo many questions. Book 2 cannot come quickly enough for me!

Riley wants to get her life and future on track after some major trauma four years ago. Enrolling at Halston U is the first step however Riley wasn’t expecting her future and her past to suddenly collide in the form of Royce, Grayson and Logan.
Riley is still recovering from what happened to her and although she still has vulnerable moments she is strong and is slowly reclaiming her power. This is definitely on the slow burn side but the betrayal still packs a punch. I liked that one of the guys is held back from the narrative especially as we know its going to happen before Riley is aware of him; the suspense was killing me for them to meet!
I enjoyed this and will read the second book but I am so conflicted about Grayson, Logan and Royce though. One more than the others; I love a redemption arc but I am really struggling to see how he is going to turn in a believable way when there is only one more book in this series. I cannot wait for him to find out the truth and realise just how wrong he is. I am trusting the process though so I know it will be worth it although I’m a little disappointed this is going to be a duet and not a trilogy as Riley definitely deserves a whole book of grovelling! The last couple of chapters just broke my heart; this was the perfect type of cliff-hanger.
I have so many questions though; why is Riley’s mum so awful? Did Grayson’s dad do something to his mum? What on earth happened between the arrest and Riley enrolling at Halston and why isn’t Riley with her family? I need to know everything!

3 stars – I enjoyed it; would read the author again
4 stars – I really liked it; I am invested and definitely want more from this author/series
5 stars – I loved it; I engaged with this book completely and I have added all the authors works to my TBR!

Wow, such an angst emotion packed book, it tore my heart out.Riley our FMC has been thru so much and keeps struggling on.
I love how she constantly challenges herself and pushes past her comfort zone to live her life without fear.
The guys I really want to hate especially Grayson who I want to slap silly. Really hoping the next book will have plenty grovelling in it. These boys have a lot to make up for.
This story is so tragic, really hoping for some retribution for Riley in the next book, a truly amazing read.
