This is the second book in this series, and this is Nate and Laura’s story. Nate has no time for relationships as he is building up his empire, while Laura has been a widow and single mom for the past 10-tears. These two meets when Nates best friend and Laura’s sister are together. The chemistry between these two is sizzling and undeniable. This is a well written story which has romance, humor, witty banter, twists, family, friendships, fake engagement, forced proximity, and love, which leads to an unpredictable and entertaining page turner.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is an honest review although I received a signed copy of the book from the author.
I received this book in a PR box from Mirela after replying to a post on TT (Booktok) and I’m so happy I did. I was so excited to receive a signed book (didn’t know it was signed till I opened it). I purchased the 1st book of Mirela’s to read before I read this one, (Handling the CEO), as I like to read in order. Whilst they are both standalones, their worlds do crossover and I’m glad I read in that order.
Gambling with the Player is such a fun read. I inhaled this book and loved it’s quirky characters. The devilishly handsome player that was Nate and the strong, independent and fiesty single parent Laura. The way the story unfolded with both characters in denial about their mutual attraction, prior to their forced proximity environment, led to such an intoxicatingly and interesting read. I laughed out loud so much and the spicy scenes were ????️????️????️????
The couple certainly had their issues to work through, especially when a jealous colleague interfered out of spite in their relationship, and put a significant work deal in jeopardy. ???? I was totally captivated by Nate and Laura’s world and couldn’t put this book down.
I simply can’t wait for Dealing with the Lawyer and have pre ordered it in order to dive right into what Marcus and Anya have to offer.

This is my first book by this author and I absolutely loved it!!
This book is a single mom romance which already is one of my fave tropes but Mirela really knows how to write this trope flawlessly.
Laura is such a strong and sassy fmc that you can’t help but love her, I liked that the author kind of did a twist and Laura was also a player in her own right, she wasn’t a meek single mom who had no backbone, she stood up for herself and didn’t take any bs from the mmc. The author touches on it many times but Javi is one amazing little boy and not annoying as can be the case sometimes. Nate is a golden retriever player to a T, he’s witty and arrogant rolled up in one pretty package and he knows it.
This book had some amazing tropes including instant attraction and fake dating which I immensely enjoyed. Mirela wrote an amazing plot that has you wondering what’s going to happen next. I found my self flipping the pages of this book like crazy, between the banter from the main characters and wondering if Nate’s plan for his casino we’re going to work out I loved this contemporary romance book and will now be reading the first book in the series after having glimpses of the characters in this one.

In ‘Gambling with the Player’, the stakes couldn’t be higher, and the payoff is a love story for the ages. The author masterfully weaves a tale of a fake engagement that turns into something much more genuine and heartfelt. The characters are well-developed and their chemistry is palpable, making readers root for their romantic success from the start. The second installment in the Kerrington series, this book stands out with its unique blend of romance, humor, and a dash of suspense. It’s a sure bet for any fan of contemporary romance looking for a captivating read.
