This little guide is just what any budding veggie gardener needs to see the seeds of success. It’s small size, and price, mean it’s easy to carry around with you and keep to hand in the greenhouse or shed for on the go referencing. It’s clear and well laid out with lots of useful advice from the types of vegetable you can grow to when and how to grow them. Full of photographs I found it an ideal starter book and would recommend it to any novices, and more experienced, growers out there. Well worth the money!

I choose this book based on other people’s reviews, as a first time veggie grower. Disappointed that it doesn’t address the issues/problems we have encountered. It covers a broad scope but with very little information that was of value. Still a good read for the rest room if not the greenhouse.

Thanks to COVID I’ve just come to the end of my first session as a veg grower and boy have I enjoyed the experience. I’ve learnt a lot and much of it from mistakes I made along the way. If I’d had this little book to start with I’m sure I would have made less mistakes and planted the right crops in the right places and at the right time of the season and been more proactive than reactive to gardening problems and pests.

I am a terrible gardener and I want to grow my own vegetables! I’ve read instructions online, borrowed other people’s books but this one explained things very simply. It like an idiot’s guide to growing vegetables. I haven’t successfully harvested any vegetables yet, but according to this book I should be sowing seeds around about now! The book was recommended to me by an experience gardener.

It has some good ideas but it hard to find the information you require and need to know. on this you want to know for certain vegetables you want to start growing as a first gardener .

Bought this book for my husband as he is wanting to grow vegetables this year. He has a number of books already but I liked the reviews of this one however I thought it was bigger than it was. My husband likes the book and that’s what really matters.

The book is informative, I just can’t be bothered with growing vegetables.
