I bought this book as a present for a friend who has just started a few raised beds to grow vegetables but I have not been able to give it to her yet due to lock down – but having looked at the book myself I am sure she will find it useful

This is a very handy guide and contains priceless knowledge. Would love to report my garden has produced copious amounts but sad to say slugs and bugs enjoyed my efforts but to be fair I bought this guide after I had planted everything! Will let you know how next year goes!! Loved the fact it covers what is effectively crop rotation in veg beds.

This book looks nice and is written in a clear and friendly tone. However there isn’t really a huge amount of actual growing information in it.
It’s an easy read book and I think the content is suitable for someone who wants general information about various veg rather than a specific guide or to answer queries.

Well I have been waiting for this to come, it’s here and it’s OK that’s the best I can do “it’s OK!”

Bought as a gift for my dad for Christmas and he’s very happy with it – he’s looking forward to using it once the weather improves and the frost clears.

Full of practical information in a well laid out format. I would have liked some diagrams or images to help. But it does cover a lot of “stuff”

Not as comprehensive as I expected but an enjoyable read in a chatty sort of style
