This books covers what you need to know for gcse. I like using revision books because it’s a summary of what you need to know and no more. This makes easier for my son to understand and remember. I like that the book is tastefully done in colour so the content looks more engaging. See the attached pictures showing first section, with its questions and answers at the back. It even has an index section too. Check you have the correct exam board when you order.

These study guides and sample papers are really readable, no walls of text, great use of line spacing, bullet points, headings, subheadings, even colours and illustration to prevent using it being anymore dull than necessary.
The family friend and their children who assisted me in testing this product where really grateful for the opportunity to use it and they told me that it supported what they had been taught in school. The contents are clear and sample papers with answers useful for testing the knowledge that is contained there in and summarized at key points.
Pupils and students need every sort of support or advantage they can get right now due to the school closures and reliance on Zoom classes. This is a great product for any pupil engaging in independent study, it would probably prove a good resource to home tutors, private tutors or teachers too. Recommended.

As always, this book covers what you need to know for GCSE’s.
These books make things a lot easier to understand.
The different choice of colours makes the book more engaging to read.
I find this book is very useful and easy to read.
The book is in seven sections :1. Algorithms, 2. Programming, 3. Design & Testing, 4. Data Representation, 5. Computer Systems & Databases, 6. Networks, 7. Issues.
The book also comes with two practice papers, has the answers after the last section, a glossary and Index.
As always with CGP, this is a great revision book.

I bought a variety of used and brand new and couldn’t tell the difference! Im copy n pasting this on the books I bought from them, basically every subject. Content seems nice and easy to read too, with stress relieving puns slid in occasionally! Don’t depend entirely on these books though, use other sources to revise too

My daughter is currently studying her AS-Level and GCSE Computer Science courses and, being a big fan of these CGP books, we got her the Revision Guide and this Complete Revision & Practice book to help her with her studies. Although these tend to be more targeted towards the exam, they are also very useful during term time as well.
This book arrived in good condition and consisted of a thick 172- page A4 book with semi hard cardboard cover. This covers the new syllabus for all grades 1-9.
The book is split into the following 7 sections:
1. Algorithms
2. Programming
3. Design & Testing
4. Data Representation
5. Computer Systems & Databases
6. Networks
7. Issues
At the end of Section 7 are two Practice Papers, Answers, Glossary and Index.
Each topic is easily located with clear headings. Different areas are laid out in boxes containing clearly written explanations, with the important words underlined. At the end of each section are warm up, worked up and exam style questions to answer. At the end of the book you also have the opportunity to work through the practice exam papers.
The book also includes a code to access the online edition, so it can be read on a laptop or PC. Which is a very useful resource in this day and age.
This is an extremely easy to use Revision & Practice guide, everything is laid out clearly and explained well. The book can also help support the student during term times as well, particularly if they have tests. Also, I find them useful to help understand what my daughter is studying and engage/help her where I can. We have quite a few of these CGP books and they are all very well written and highly recommended.

This is a superb revision guide for anybody studying towards GCSE AQA Computer science 9-1 exams for 2022 and beyond.
The book is well organised, with overviews of the various topics, warm up questions to ensure that the topic is grasped, then some worked exam questions to give an example of the kind of challenges faced in the exam. There are then a couple of practice papers to give an idea of how the student will do in the actual exam, with questions plus answers for those questions. At the back of the book is a comprehensive glossary and index. The package is nicely designed and implemented.
The book uses Python for its coding, but you are able to go online to cgpbooks.co.uk, enter a unique code which is printed inside the front of the book, and then access an online version of it which then gives access to extra VB.net and C# sections of the book. I did this on a PC and the book displayed in the same manner as a PDF, with search capabilities, ability to insert notes alongside the text, ability to review all notes created throughout the book, and ability to go full-screen, which will be extremely useful. I also tried it on an iPad – this worked pretty much the same but I was unable to annotate the pages, or go full-screen. I don’t know if this is because I was unable to enter the activation code on the iPad version (it said this code had already been used (which it had, by me on the PC)), or if this is a limitation of the iPad version, but it worked superbly well on the PC and only so-so on the iPad.
I’d recommend this book to anyone studying for a computer science qualification. It’s really well organised, well thought out, and well presented
