These are great books to go along with the curriculum. Easy to understand and plenty of exercises to keep them busy. I was recommend these when my child was going through her sats by an ex teacher. I now have lots of different subjects for high school to help during lockdown. These have been brilliant to keep her on track.

I would recommend this book, either to be used in class, or as a private revision aid. It covers all the necessary theory + the set works really well and in the right depth. There are “warm up” and exam type questions + an accompanying CD with all the necessary excerpts. If you were going to buy one study or revision aid, this is the one I would recommend.

Only 70 useful pages. My son is taking this exam, and I teach this exam syllabus myself. 100 or so of the pages are on context and history which will only be worth 2 or 3 marks overall in the exam. What a waste of time learning all that irrelevant information! The specimen paper will probably be useful, although I spotted 2 errors in a quick look over it – the dictation will be of unfamiliar, not familiar music. Also, the melody and rhythm dictations have to be done in one go, it is not separate as this book leads you to believe. the 16 pages of revision notes on the 8 set works will be useful a long with the 24 pages of questions but that is about it.
