Good selection of paintings and I enjoyed the photos too. The text is straightforward but not too simple. A really good basic book on O’Keeffe.

O’Keeffe is to my mind one of the most significant painters of the last 100 years. Her interest in photography led her to use the ‘close up’ in a filmic way to spectacular and sometimes sublime effect. He sense of composition was never less than powerful and her everyday subject matter presented in new and remarkable ways.

Two of the pages were torn out & they were part of what I wanted from the book.

Another excellent book in the Taschen series packed with pictures and a good write up about the artist. While there are other good art books available the Taschen series is particularly nice and good value for money given the number of reproductions of the artist’s work. Slots in nicely with my others in the series including Roy Lichtenstein, HR Giger, Piet Mondiain, Picasso, Salvador Dali & Warhol
