Hard going at first as very technical but I found this book to be extremely useful well written and well researched

Its a good book and easy to read but its not really what I was looking for. Its not really a tutor as such but does explain German Grammar very well. I will most likely come back to it again when I have gained a bit more basic knowledge. German is not easy to learn from a book.

I’m using this with Duolingo as it doesn’t explain rules and reasons for German. It arrived quickly and within ten minutes I’ve realised why there are different “the”s and how they’re used. Long term goal is to speak to my partner’s mother in German!
