GHOSTS: The Button House Archives: The instant Sunday Times bestseller companion book to the BBC’s much loved television series

The comic companion to the BBC sitcom GHOSTS, perfect for all the family.

Everybody leaves a trace. The ghosts of Button House may have been dead a long time – some of them a very long time – but they have all left their mark on the world (even if, in Robin’s case, that mark is just a handprint on the wall of a cave).

Gathered together in this volume is a treasure trove of unearthed cuttings, original records and rare artefacts that explore the unseen lives of those who died at Button House: from Thomas’s love letters to Pat’s ‘Summer Camp Rap’, and from Julian’s campaign promises to Lady Button’s Rules of Etiquette. There are even documents dictated to the one person who can see and hear the ghosts: Alison Cooper.

Written by the show’s creators – Mathew Baynton, Simon Farnaby, Martha Howe-Douglas, Jim Howick, Laurence Rickard and Ben Willbond – this eclectic archive is a unique chance to discover more about the beloved ghosts of Button House. Thank be to Moonah!

A book for all the family, it is as warm-spirited and deliriously daft as the series itself.

The media could not be loaded.

came with some sort of adhesive smeared across the cover that i’ve shown in the video which is why i have given it 4 stars, but the book itself is great. me and my family are huge fans of the show and it offers great insight into the characters and is really funny. has great behind the scenes pictures and information on the characters. a must have for anyone who loves the show as much as we do. i’ve added some pictures, hopefully mostly spoiler free.

One final visit to Button House to see our favourite dead people (and Julian). The content is imaginative, comprehensive, and funny. As an alternative to no more episodes (boo!), it fills a massive gap. And it has lots about Robin in it, so that’s good. Once I read it, well dipped into the bits in some random order according to who I wanted to hear about first, I will go back to speaking to the ghosts in my house. Sadly I haven’t hit my head (although I did have two near-death experiences in my life so far, and have seen a few ghosts myself) so am relying on there being some here anyway. But I digress. A great book for ‘Ghosts’ fans, and thoroughly recommended.

A must for fans of the show! It’s a collection of artifacts from the characters which is a lovely idea!

Wonderful piece of merchandise for fans of Ghosts and the self titled ‘six idiots’. The book is funny and expands on the characters, with the timeline [who was born/ died and how they perished] being a great start to the book. Most bits are sort of lifestyle guides (yachting in the med with Julian) but these are humorous and fit in with each character. Worthy purchase.

Absolutely a must for all fans of BBC Ghosts, and also a good read for those not familiar with the show. Hilarious insights into the back stories of the characters, with information drawn from documents and photos, compiled by Alison Cooper. The graphic design is remarkable, and it genuinely made me laugh out loud.
Please note, l got my personal copy autographed at Comic Con in London. This image is NOT the one you will purchase!

I really liked this companion. It was nice to discover more about the iconic characters of the tv show… I particularly enjoyed the bits about The Captain and Julian. Some of the typeface is hard to read as it is handwritten which is a bit of a downside. Overall this was a lovely book to read alongside the final series!
