‘Tyson Fury is an amazing real-life champion’ – Sylvester Stallone, star of Rocky
‘The People’s Champion’ – Times
‘A boxing phenomenon…the anarchic and enormous sports star may prove to be the last of the boxing greats’ – John Sutherland, The Times
Son. Father. Husband. Brother. Fighter. Showman. Mental health champion. Told with unflinching honesty and rock-star charisma, Gloves Off by Tyson Fury is the autobiography of a sporting icon, the like of which we may never see again.
The undefeated heavyweight champion Tyson Fury looks back on his life and career to understand his remarkable rise, fall, and rise again, which has seen him journey from the brink of suicide to boxing immortality, culminating in his sensational knockout victory against Dillian Whyte at Wembley Stadium in front of a record-breaking 94,000 fans.
Tyson’s book reveals surprising and personal new sides to his character: he opens up about his fairy-tale romance with beloved wife Paris, and their down-to-earth life raising six beautiful children. He describes how his Traveller upbringing forged him, and how his fighting family, including dad John and his brothers, have sustained him.
In the process, Tyson discusses his mental health and weight battles, his faith and his greatest boxing experiences. He discloses deeply moving new stories: in the weeks before the biggest fight of his career, Tyson was sleeping on a hospital floor in intensive care tending to his baby daughter, Athena, who was born premature and fighting for her life.
Funny, frank and never less than entertaining, this is Tyson Fury at his very best, as you have never read before.

So, I decided to dive into the world of Tyson Fury’s autobiography, “Gloves Off.” Now, let’s be clear, I’m about as intimidating as a fluffy bunny, so I thought, “Why not get a taste of the boxing champion’s life without actually taking any punches?”
As soon as I opened the book, I felt like I’d entered the boxing ring of storytelling. Tyson Fury doesn’t pull any punches, except in this case, the punches are hilarious anecdotes and some really questionable fashion choices. I mean, who knew that a boxer could be so funny? I was half-expecting the book to come with a warning: “May cause uncontrollable laughter.”
Now, Tyson Fury’s life is like a rollercoaster on steroids. From rising through the ranks to battling personal demons, it’s a whirlwind. But the way he tells it, it’s like he’s recounting a wild night out with the lads. I can almost hear him saying, “And then I fought Klitschko, mate, and it was like, ‘Whoa, what’s happening?'” It’s storytelling at its most entertaining.
But the best part? Tyson’s honesty. He lays it all out there, from mental health struggles to the bizarre world of professional boxing. I felt like I was in the corner of the ring, cheering him on in his battles – and trust me, I’d be the guy with the foam finger, not the boxing gloves.
And let’s talk about his humor. Tyson Fury could moonlight as a stand-up comedian. His one-liners had me in stitches. I mean, how many boxers can make you laugh so hard you forget they could knock you out with a single jab?
In conclusion, “Gloves Off” is not just an autobiography; it’s a comedy show, a motivational speech, and a ringside seat to the rollercoaster that is Tyson Fury’s life. So, if you’re in the mood for a knockout read that leaves you in stitches, this book is your champion. ????????????

As a family we love this man . the fact he talks openly about his mental health issues is great. this man goes in the ring and fights but really he is a big soft hearted family man loves his wife and family. but does openly say he has struggles. it takes alot for a man to open up and tell people but by him doing so and letting us all know too I’m sure he must of helped alot of guys out in the real world to finally open up. and hopefully must of stopped some men from getting to the point of hurting themselves. mental health if caught early and u can talk it thru to the medical staff etc u can get help. this man has opened up and by doing so j know has helped others. thanks Tysoe fury u are a fantastic man and this bio is a great read. Dad said he will read it again and again and it will stay on our book shelf and won’t be given to charity shop like some of our other reader books.

I was a bit dubious about reading Tyson Fury’s third book or autobiography in as many years, but I enjoyed the book.
If you have read Behind the Mask a lot of the same information is here, but with the benefit of having time to reflect on everything that happened to Tyson throughout his life his early life/career, his breakdown and his second career. Right up to the Dillian Whyte fight.
Obviously, this books cover the fights that had not happened in the last books. In the same as Behind the Mask, Tyson tells his story his way and on his timeline. Also Tyson’s thoughts on his “retirement”.
The book finishes with some information on where people can find help for their mental help. Then statistics and bio-data on Tyson, his pro-boxing record, then the credits.
