Good price good delivery my partner as used it a lot

My main reason for selecting this book was an attempt to simplify all the technical information loaded onto a recent convert to the wonderful game by good intentioned colleagues and, dare I say, professional instructors: so much information can lead to a “paralysis by analysis”.
Having read the book twice, I would recommend working through a section of the instructional content and creating your own plan of practice; this appears to have assisted me to play the game better than previously and helped to highlight specific issues which can then, if need be, form the basis for a more meaningful discussion with your club professional.
For non club members, the dialogue would certainly give you pointers to consider at improving your game, but don’t try to do everything at once: practice the elements you feel need most attention then see how your game stands up to a round.
The author takes you through the book in a good humoured manner and as well as helping my golf, it was an excellent, entertaining read.

Lots of good tips, the game is vast and not just about your swing and this funny book gets you motivated and moving in the right direction

Great intro – but not really for dummies. I knew NOTHING about golf, and found it tricky first round. It is worth more after a bit of base knowledge – I am an my second read and makes a lot more sense now. Also, I accidentally bought the US version, as it is quite tricky to keep track of version and country editions. No biggie though….

I felt the whole book was very American. Talk about the courses was all American. The ethos was American. I didn’t really connect with the author and his humour (humor ????) was alien.
All in all I didn’t enjoy it – probably my fault in not appreciating that it was totally American based.

Brilliant and very useful.

Very good condition for a second hand book, delivery was quick and well packaged, the book itself is exactly what I expected ideal for a complete beginner, with a lot of detail about getting started at the game, all the things you don’t like to ask !
