As an avid ‘weekend’ golfer I wanted to know the finer points of the golf rules and as any golfer knows the official R&A book is not easy to follow…this Dummies edition explains those points in an easy to understand manner. It also throws in some funny quips and stories to make the whole experience a little more fun. I would recommend this book to any golfer. Fore Rrrright!

I bought the book because i thought it would cover the rules and etiquette of golf in some detail. With the rules it certainly did not. A lot of the book is not really relevant to the majority of regular UK Golfers. There were sections about playing at Country Clubs, with your boss, tipping caddies. There is also too much reference to types of “guy” competitions, gambling etc. I really wanted a simple guide to most of the rules of the game, and the book did not provide that. Yes, some rules were covered, but not enough, and i felt a lot of the book was padding.
