I had a great time reading this book to my 9 year old. We regularly tease each other about “which farmer” we are behaving like in certain financial situations. I’ve bought it for so many relatives as gifts. It’s really empowering!

This is the best book I’ve come across teaching children the principles of wealth creation. I read the book myself in a couple of days and then let my 8 year old read it himself, which he just finished today. I am also reading it to my 6 year old.
The topics covered are set out in such an easy to understand format and the fables are memorable. In addition the author has a great blog with other topics which are not covered in the book such as inflation. If you want to start your children on the right path to wealth then get this book!

This book is amazing! I highly recommend it. My kids love it and have learned so much. It teaches them about saving money and making money work for them. The lessons are presented in a way that appeals to children. I read it to my kids now, but they’ll be able to read it on their own in a year or two. I’m so happy with this book and will definitely be buying it as a Christmas gift for other children we know.

Sound financial advice wrapped up in a story of one person helping another. Recommended to read with children aged 5-10.

I wish this had been around when I was a child. It’s a brilliant way to introduce children to important concepts about money. My 7 year old enjoyed it and still refers to his money growing like seeds.

Great book, playful and simple story which my children loved when I read it to them (ages 6 and 9). I would definitely recommend this book (and the authors blogs and newsletters) to anyone who is keen to have open dialogue with the children in their life around finance and the basic principles of spending less than you earn, avoiding unnecessary debt and of course the beauty of compounding :-). What my younger self would have given for a book like this 35 years ago!

This is an excellent book containing all the foundations required for a child’s financial education but in a fun and entertaining format. It certainly made me view money differently but has also helped me shift in perspective on how to explain a traditionally boring topic to a child.

Will has done a great job with this book. Highly recommend this for kids, for anyone with kids, and for anyone with grandkids too!
