I don’t know how many books have now been written pointing out that the AGW (“climate change) narrative is fundamentally a great big con-trick. Having read a good number, they all say essentially the same thing, and all aim to call the general public (and the BBC), to reject the unjustifiable, baseless religion our politicians have espoused and forced upon us. They say it in different ways, varying from cold fact to emotional outrage. This particular diatribe is no different – but it needed to be said. They all needed to be written, and read, because no-one has yet listened to the first few, which pointed out the fatal flaws in the so-called “scientific” argument.
When Obama pronounced that “the science is settled” he put the Western world’s official seal of approval on an ideological and political campaign. We may never recover from that gross error of judgement, because it was never about simply “saving the planet”. Globalised industries took the cue and have run with it ever since, creating a runaway exploitation of the words “sustainable” and “climate crisis”, and making untold profits from their ability to permit insane projects to not only flourish but be subsidised: ie we have to pay for them. All those billions of pounds, dollars and euros could have been spent on self-evidently sensible alternatives, which would have advanced the wider cause of helping the less well off nations, stop the slaughter of animal life and the destruction of forests and find beneficial methods of improving life for all. Such a shame, and what a waste. So the truth needs to be repeated over and over again, in the hope that one day sanity will overcome group delusion.

As a scientist and lecturer, I am absolutely disgusted that a Climate Change Cult has emerged globally over the past few years, fuelled by politicians who see this as a way to keep their fragile egos in some sort of delusion of importance and countless businesses who have jumped on the wagon of anything green where cliches and buzzwords abound in order to sell unimportant and mostly irrelevant goods and services. Countless adverts from strange serums for the ageless angels who are not worth it to the most bizarre of extracts guaranteed to make everyone healthier, cars more efficient, and buildings evermore airtight from so-called pollution, these are all evidence of this collective idiocy which is full of contradictions, hypocrisies and downright lies.
If that were not enough, what disgusts me further is the way science is presented as a belief. Science is not a faith, it is not a belief, it is only a process leading to current understanding based on solid and honest research and collection of data which can then be used to inform the best approaches to problems we face.
I use the word cult advisedly. A cult requires blind adherence to a dogma where no individual thought is accepted and if any is voiced, the speaker is considered an apostate and a denier. Classically those running the cult or who are apostles to those engineering the dangerous assumed normals are often themselves so unread and unschooled that they have no idea that there is a counter view to theirs. I was recently labeled a denier by one such and my reply was to say if that meant countering the lies and ignorance then I was proud to be.
Go read this book and all the others. Read the counterarguments as well. Be let down by Attenborough and the falling walrus pornography if you like that sort of thing but most of all; be truly informed and then say out loud what this book says so well.

Climate Change or Crisis – you have a choice. This book starts well, covers some interesting points, place’s emphasis on the disproportionate impact that the Climate Change or Crisis body have on Government policy making, but then drifts into manic swivel eyed rants – yes we know of the hypocrisy of media influences who fly around the world and tell us not too, yes we know that the use of Wind and Solar is never going to be the answer BUT the errors within the book give ammunition to the Climate mob to state that you are wrong:-
Wind Turbines- refer to Full Fact 27/02/19; the text you have used has been selectively quoted and the argument it makes, taken in isolation, is meaningless. In part it reads “ at a good wind site, the energy payment could be within three years or less, in a poor location, energy payback may be never. That is, a windmill could spin until it falls apart and never generate as was invested in building it”.
BioMass – yes biomass is wood, but it is wood that cannot be used for other purposes ie- construction, and burning wood does release CO2, which is a greening gas that has helped to improve plant life by raising the level of CO2 to today’s level of 450ppm, ideally it should be 1000ppm, 56million years ago it was 6000, and prior to industrialisation it had dropped to below 200, so CO2 from whatever source is life enhancing.
AIDS – in 1985 the RCN did predict that 1million in Britain “will have AIDS in six years time”, 15years later (2000) AIDS deaths totalled 263, more people died falling down stairs. I can however find no reference to the BMA agreeing.
Mercury in vaccines- Ethylmercuruy which is found in Thimersal (used as a preservative in vaccines since 1930’s is different from Methylmercury, as as new technology for vaccine development progresses should be eliminated, however, Ethylmercury is quickly secreted by the body.
Plastic bags – Earthbits report that cotton bags on average would need to be used 131 times to account for its higher carbon footprint, and paper benefits from being infinitely more recyclable.
The book has failed to cover clearly the fact that only the use of nuclear power will cover the power generation gap the World is facing, fossil fuel’s are not running out, coal, gas and oil will last well into the next century but if we wish to allow the whole world to catch up with the “1st” world, then power generation is key hence why China and India have gone for coal powered energy, whilst clean coal/ gas energy is possible, in the “West”, such is the grip on the Climate zealots that no plant would ever get planning permission. This leaves use with the nuclear option, clean, expensive to build due to environmental concerns, but unless we act now, the energy gap due to over reliance on “renewable’s” will be a problem.
Good effort, less manic ranting in the next book and more solutions please.
