I’m a big fan of Ben’s & I follow him on YouTube. I’m kind of just starting out on my dream of being self sufficient so purchasing this book was a no brainer. Full of useful information.

Ive always been a big fan of Ben’s videos on Growveg as he has such an easy and friendly style .This book is absolutely brilliant – the format is extremely pleasing to the eye – lovely photos and really well laid out.Although I am a fairly competent gardener , this book still has things to teach me and there are lots of tips to help get the most out of your growing as well as ideas for other things like microgreens and sprouting seeds. This is so much different – and better -than the standard growing guides as they all tend to say the same things whereas this book just nudges you further along the ( garden ) path. I can highly recommend this book to anyone whether you are an experienced gardener or a novice there is something here for you!

A fantastically written guide with beautiful photography taking you through every step of growing your very own veggies.
Benedict’s style comes across as enthusiastic and encouraging so whether you’ve grown any veggies before, or are a complete beginner, there will be plenty here to get you outside and planting your own.
I’m looking forward to starting in some of these projects and eating our produce in a few months.

I very rarely write reviews but I love this book. I was a bit weary as it’s a beginners guide, and I have been gardening for forty years. However, I have made a basket of salad, sprouted beans in a fruit juice carton, and had another go at a strawberry tower. Even the things I already do are accompanied by such lovely pictures I look through the book over and over again. Such marvellous value for money. Thank you.

A beautiful book with a nice size font which is comfortable on the eye. Lovely presentation and illustrations. Explanations and instructions are clear. Overall an excellent buy.
I really appreciate what Mr Vanheems is doing with all his YouTube videos, this book and his website. I’ve found all the media incredibly helpful as a beginner in growing my own veg so a massive thank you for all your help.

I’ll start by saying that I LOVE the youtube videos Ben does – they’re fun and engaging and he manages to get all the essential information across without any waffle. I guess I was expecting the book to be similarly informative but it’s not. A coffee table book at best. Sent it back. Sorry Ben.
