The long-awaited companion volume to Gut & Psychology Syndrome, the book that launched the GAPS diet, which has been translated into 22 languages and sold more than 300,000 copies.
Since the publication of the first GAPS book, Gut and Psychology Syndrome, in 2004, the GAPS concept has become a global phenomenon. People all over the world have been using the GAPS Nutritional Protocol for healing from physical and mental illnesses.
The first GAPS book focused on learning disabilities and mental illness. This new book, Gut and Physiology Syndrome, focuses on the rest of the human body and completes the GAPS concept. Allergies, autoimmune illness, digestive problems, neurological and endocrine problems, asthma, eczema, chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia, psoriasis and chronic cystitis, arthritis and many other chronic degenerative illnesses are covered. Dr. Campbell-McBride believes that the link between physical and mental health, the food and drink that we take, and the condition of our digestive system is absolute. The clinical experience of many holistic doctors supports this position.

I read the gaps diet Gut And Physiology Syndrome: Natural Treatment for Autism, Dyspraxia, A.D.D., Dyslexia, A.D.H.D., Depression, Schizophrenia. It is a brilliant book and this is even better with more information aimed at those with issues such as as eczema, psoriasis etc
Must have

I was lucky enough to find the first book Gut & Psychology Syndrome in a charity shop several years ago so was already a fan and follower of Natashas ethos on diet and its affects on the mind/brain/behaviour but I found the first book more of an interest read rather than one which applied directly to me.
In the 2nd book, whilst the diet and type of foods which are eaten are similar to the first, the application of the diet is much more detailed on how it relates to the body physiologically which is exactly what I was looking for as somebody who has suffered for years with random bouts of IBS. The book covers information on worms and parasites which I’m finding particularly interesting. You can see from the picture that the book is much bigger than the first. It’s completely worth at least the £17.99 price I paid and I will use it for valuable information and reference for many years to come. Natasha speaks with incredible knowledge and conviction on any YouTube video or podcast I’ve listened to. I love it that she stands tall against the tide of modern food production and standards, many of which are responsible for the demise of general health in society. What Natasha advocates is for is an almost lost traditional approach to food preparation and perspective and explains her reasoning in detail. Buy the book!

I have ra, hypotiroidism and I have been on a sort of healty diet for many years. However the reasons why I sufer were not clear. I believe she found another of my problems and things sort of click from my own experiences before started to get sick. I had food poisoning and dental mercury that I recently removed with holistic dentistry. I took 2 weekends reading no stop and another week one and off. this is a very detailed book. I had started carnivore before her diet. Her diet doesn’t really work for me. I can’t have black pepper, pinaple and garlic as it causes me dry eyes. But I am trying. However be advise huge amount of work. I also started the vitamins and I am going to read the book a second time and google her own references to learn more. I advise anyone with a tone of health problems to read her book. I will make an update in 2 years time.
update: 08/09/2021I have been several month on this diet. I discover that chicken liver stopped my gum disease ,I have issues with olive oil, I am ok with raw milk kefir fermented for 60 hours, I started with l-gluthatione for healing the gut and the colour of poo got better, but my RA is not better. I have a limited amount of food as I don’t want to get worse. Started elimination in Feb and ketogenic and gap. the gums are better. The rest is still the same. 1.5 yeard left for the next review.
UPDATE NOV 2021
it healed my gut, my constipation and my milk allergy. ( I do raw kefir and raw saurcream, I do my own cheese and iogurt. I can boil the milk for powder kefir, but I do raw milk kefir from kefir grains at 60 hour fermentation, I even drank raw milk without issues which I cannot do with pasterized as it causes severe RA for a week). No pasterize mik please , but I can eat pasterized butter now. I also eat pasterized cheese but in moderation. I am on Gap diet for 8 month now. I do my own stock and I still have severe RA . Will update in 1 years time.
update: 31/01/2022 , My RA is still here and the diet did not help at all. It did not stop progression of RA, but I found a candida herb that helps hitching, an expensive one I got it in amazon paraprotex. I guess you can try cheapper ones. The diet made constipation worse, so I am considring back on oats but this time fermented. However that might get ra worse. Gut better with raw milk kefir. I found fermented butter. But as I said RA is still deteriorating. Not much better, actually I would say, it can get worse because of the introduction of some more dairy, although I don’t have reaction to raw milk kefir I must admit. But progression of ra did not stop.
Sept 23 update : I kept the kefir but I gave up on the stock too much work. However I put a chicken leg on my soup. I also kept the homemade sauerkraut . The hitching gone with kefir and fasting and intermitente fasting. My ra is still here.
What causes sickness and death: sin. Ask god every day to forgive sins and to heal you. Try to give up sin. And forgive others. If you sin in the body we reap the consequences. All sin is sin but sin in the body is much worse. Read the bible every day. God bless.
