HI, my name is Arthur, and I created this fitness journal based on how I learned to log my workouts. It is straightforward and to the point, no daily affirmations, not little flowers or unicorns on the side, just a notebook where you enter your data. At the gym I just log my cardio workouts and weight training. I do not use a specific section for stretching or flexibility, nor log my food intake on this journal. I always stretch the muscle group I am working on that day, so I don’t need to keep track of that. It’s part of the routine.

On each entry you will record:
•Date, week #, and day of the week
•Start time, end time, and current weight.
•Today’s mood (tired, P-off, annoyed, amawesome!)
•Cardio workout: time, machine setting or distance, and heartrate.
•Weight training: exercise, sets, weight.

I have a section of the journal to enter my mood. I like to reflect on my daily performance and see if that has any effect on my routine. I realized that if I enter how I feel before or during my workout I can go back and see if there’s anything I can adjust in my life to improve my performance at the gym.
